Hi, Does anyone know of a document that gives details on how to set up Bind 9 and DHCPD 3.x so that dns is updated when clients log on? I saw this is not in the howto collection (http://www.bibsyst.no/samba/docs/man/DNSDHCP.html#id2981727) so I was kind of hoping someone else has some notes. Hi, I would like to make Sambaadmins aware of the simple and powerfull program dnsmasq. It makes setting up a caching dnsserver + dhcp-server that maps local machines to the local domain a breeze, something that is missing in the samba howto collection (http://www.bibsyst.no/samba/docs/man/DNSDHCP.html#id2981727).
