to use the homes function of Samba and I want user's to authenticate
against my AD domain. I am having a problem making the server a member
server of my domain.
I tried using the smbpasswd command and got the error about trying net

Files Show in Windows but not on the Red Hat server
*I just recently migrated our web server to Red Hat 8.0 running Samba 2.2.7
from FreeBSD 4.2 running Samba 2.2.3a.
In windows, a user copy or moves files to there home directory on the server
running samba. The file seems to copy or move fine (It is visible when
accessing the share from explorer), but if I telnet to the server the file
is not in the user's home directory. I have tailed the

SWAT
I was playing with this on my test machine, (redhat 5.2, samba 2.0.3)
worked great, and I was really impressed.
So I decided to install this on my office machine. (redhat 4.2, samba
2.0.3) and the only significant difference is that on the
office machine, I use encrypted passwords.
I cannot get swat to authenticate on the second machine. That is, no
matter what account, password combination

Rsyncd.conf
Howdy,
I am pretty "green" with rsync so any help will be much appreciated.
I want to mirror webserver A and webserver B. The two directories I want to
mirror are /www/home and /www/default. I was wondering how I would set this
up in rsycd.conf and how I would call it in a script? Thanks

Rsync on webserver
Here is the problem.
I have a primary and a secondary web server. I want to sync the home
directory paths on the primary server with the secondary server. I am
fairly ignorant to rsync and wondering what is the best method of doing this
and how would I call the procedure from say a "perl script".
Both Servers are FreeBSD 4.2 and there are actually two directorys I want
to sync 1)

Hash Dial Pattern Problems
I have two Asterisk boxe. One is running 1.6 and the other 1.2
The users on the 1.2 system press # plus a local 7 digit number to place
local calls through the trunk to the 1.6 box.
For some reason this dial pattern fails right away with "unavailable". There
is no activity in the CLI. Other patterns for the trunk work just fine.
Dial pattern:
