However, I am have a view with all my users thumbnails displayed and am trying to make it so when you click on a thumbnail of their avatar, it shows that users profile. pass the model type to the action via a hidden field?
I have a question about the acts_as_commentable plugin. In the instructions it says to use hidden fields to pass the model type and model id. This is somewhat confusing me. I am trying to add comments to a user object and am not sure how to specify the model type. This is the link that I am using to get the comment view where one will enter his/her comments: <%= link_to "add a

Every other week recurring event
I have the code for computing a weekly event: (start_date..end_date).select{|d| d.wday == wday} but I am wondering if anyone has any ideas for using this to figure out a recurring event for every other week. Is it possible to somehow specify every other within the .select method? Any other implementation ideas? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message

Clearing form fields for a popup
I am using prototype to create modal popups for my login and register pages, but the fields are populating with the data from certain variables. For example, I have a show page that finds a user like so: @user = User.find(params[:id]) and my form uses: <% form_for :user, :url => users_path do |f| -%> so it is populating the form with the data from @user. Should I rename the @user

This is what I want, but I did this by accident by trying to pass the objects themselves. I just wanted to confirm that this is the correct

I calculate a Runt object in the view and use it to see if it includes a certain date, which is populates from the database, and display the info for that date if it is included. I have recurring events for every week, which was pretty easy to set up. I can just say: r = Runt::DIWeek.new(4) For a recurring event every Thursday, and
