Hardware vs. Network Inputs
We are trying to determine how to build out an IVR system we are
working on. The system needs to be able to handle probably at most
5-10 concurrent calls at peak times. Other times we are just looking
for a reliable service. For incoming calls we've been using
BroadVoice VOIP and before that VoicePulse VOIP. VoicePulse's IAX
service started dropping DTMF inputs that we were processing

CentOS 4.2 and VMWare
Has anyone successfully installed CentOS 4.2 within VMWare 5 and have
it run successfully. I tried doing this last night, but after the
install, it cannot boot. It hangs at the GRUB message.
I have used CentOS 4.1 many times within VMWare without problems.
I did a search and found some where people have had this problem, but
not within VMWare. The problems seem to have been related to SCSI

TDM400P static on call
I just got a TDM400P with 2 FXO cards. I got it all configured and I
can place and receive calls.
I seem to be getting static on the call, mainly when I speak. E.g, if
I call someone, I can hear them just fine, but they would hear static.
Not a lot...more like a constant background "hissing" noise.
What can I look at to try and troubleshoot what is going on, or is this normal?

Delay when ringing internal extensions on incoming zap call
I have a TDM400P with 2 FXO cards and I'm using Asterisk@Home 2.8
I noticed that when I place a call to the analog lines from outside,
Asterisk takes a while to actually ring the extension the call is
being sen to.
I've been doing some tests, calling from my cellphone and here is what I see...
- After the first ring on my cell, Asterisk logs to the CLI that is
has an incoming call

Are my expectations too high?
I'm trying to use Asterisk with a TDM400P and 2 analog lines, but I'm
having a hard time getting the kind of audio quality that I'd like.
I'm hoping to be able to use SIP phones to make calls through Asterisk
and have the same quality as a regular analog phone connected to the
PSTN. Are my expectations too high? Is it that once I'm using
Asterisk as a gateway to the PSTN, I
