How to fix mapping Administrator to root
...ministrator user a uidNumber and it seem like a unix user. I can get the user info via "getent passwd administrator"
It seems that everything works fine these years. but I saw some suggestions in the maillist said we "should not give Administrator a uidNumber".
So Is there any disvantage if I give a uidNumber to Administrator? and How could I fix that if I already did that? I tries to set the uidNumber to none. but it didn;t make sense. I still got user info like
getent passwd administrator
administrator:*:10000:10001:....
Best,
yours Adam

Personally, I’m hugely in favor of moving llvm’s source hosting to github at some point, despite the fact that I continue to dislike git as a tool and co...

Ok, just curious, are there any disvantages between using Windows ACLs
instead of POSIX ACLs?
Also, once I create a file server as Domain Member, how easy will be to
migrate from DC?

Not everyone thinks git is a step forward. Please do not force people
to use a "git-only" solution.

GitHub anyone?
Folks,
There has been some discussion on IRC about SVN hosting and the perils
of doing it ourselves. The consensus on the current discussion was
that moving to a Git-only solution would have some disvantages, but
many advantages. Furthermore, not hosting our own repos would save us
a lot of headaches, admin costs and timed out connections.
TL;DR: GitHub + git submodules [1] could replace all the functionality
we have currently with SVN.
(also GitLab, BitBucketc, etc).
Here are some of the arguments...

Administrator a uidNumber, you turned it into a normal Unix user with

Multihome load balancing - kernel vs netfilter
Hi,
I have searched the archives on the topic, and it seems that the list
gurus favor load balancing to be done in the kernel as opposed to other
means. I have been using a home-grown approach, which splits traffic
based on `-m statistic --mode random --probability X`, then CONNMARKs
the individual connections and the kernel happily routes them. I
understand that for > 2 links it will become
