New git repository
Hi, When the Subversion mirror of portable OpenSSH fell into disrepair, I promised to replace it with a git mirror. Well, I finally got around to it - you can clone git://anongit.mindrot.org/openssh.git and browse at https://anongit.mindrot.org/openssh.git/ The repository is also mirrored to github at https://github.com/openssh/openssh-portable These are very new an...

CRITICAL - DB Adapters - Syntax Errors
Anyone else notice that changeset 5980[1] hosed several of the db adapters? PDC replacement
Hi all, I am at a small organization that has been using Samba for authentication for a while now, and I have inherited our Samba setup from our previous administrator. The server is in disrepair software-wise and would really benefit from a good reinstall. The problem is that our Samba implementation is mission-critical, so we need to get it replicated to another machine which can handle the load while the main server is being rebuilt. Enough of the background, here's the question:...

Real sh? Or other efficient shell for non-interactive scripts

Red Alert 2: Odd problem
Hi all, I am currently attempting to play Red Alert 2 on my Ubuntu 11.10 installation under Wine. Now, Red Alert 2 will launch fine, as expected on a Windows machine. The most minor error is the campaign selection screen where it takes an "alt-tab" to respond. I'm not so worried about this error. However, when I enter a single player game (Skirmish or Campaign), whenever the game

Feature Request: Mindows/Miniwin - allow windows to be individually scaled
...ggest it here in the hope that someone with more of either of those assets will pick it up :) I know it isn't a new idea, nor just my idea, in fact a plugin existed to do it (by ddave, details here http://compiz.blogspot.com/2006/03/miniwin.html) a while ago - but it seems to have fallen out of disrepair and was never quite stable ;) ****Details:**** I would love any window to be manually scalable - perhaps by CTRL clicking and using the resize handle, so that a 'mindiow' is created. Obviously interacting with this window would be nice, but there is a _lot_ that could be done with this ev...

Lustre and cross-platform portability
.... A related topic is whether it would be better to replace all cfs_* functions with standard Linux kernel functions en-masse, or migrate away from cfs_* functions slowly? Also, we''re planning on deprecating the liblustre client code, due to lack of interest/usage. The current code is in disrepair, and we''ve been keeping it around for years without any benefit, and while I was one of the strongest advocates for keeping it in our back pocket in case of future needs, I don''t see that materializing in the future. The liblustre code would be left in the tree for now, in case s...

Seeking contributors for Lustre User Manual
In hopes of improving the quality, coverage, and currency of the Lustre User Manual, I''m putting out a call to the Lustre community for contributors to this important resource. The user manual is especially important for new users to Lustre, but has fallen into some disrepair now that there is no longer a dedicated documentation writer for it. As well, there are many sections of the manual that have become outdated over the years (such as example output, command descriptions, etc) that need to be refreshed. The Lustre User Manual is also a component of Lustre that has...

[LLVMdev] lit: deprecating trailing \ in RUN lines
Ok, that makes sense. I don't see this as a good enough argument to remove backslash support though. For problems like the clang_cc1 substitution mistakes, it would be much better to just improve the substitution support so that those cause immediate test failures. I would definitely support a move to make lit's substitution machinery more strict. For problems like your first search, I

a new directory service
So I've been doing some research and thinking here and there about what a _good_ directory service for icecast would be like. I'd appreciate some feedback and some discussion on this topic, before I start putting a lot of effort into developing it. First off, I think getting rid of # of listeners is a must. It just creates a self-fulfilling prophecy and encourages cheating. I think the
