Will the user disppear from server2 automatically after a certain period? Otherwise we have to perform the additional manual flush of the net cache on each domain member server, each time we want to deny fileserver access for a user. Or is there a better way to keeping everything, while centrally denying fileserver...

browser problem
The browsing capability in Network Neighborhood disppears periodically. Usually, double-clicking on Network Neighborhood gives us a list of all the NT and Unix/samba boxes on the network segment (i.e. in the Workgroup). When browsing disppears, all we see is *Entire Network*, which has nothing in it. We run a unix/NT network with 6 unix servers and a...

Shut down Windoze and Restart it!?!?
...ake it really shutdown "automatically"... If it's not Micro$oft, maybe we are able to change hard disks without shutting down the system. Well, I've run into this problem just a week ago when I first set a Win95 box to connect to my Linux box running Samba 1.9.18p3. The problem disppeared as soon as I set the mode of the printing directory to world writable. That's the 'path' specified in the [printers] section. Well, it's documented somewhere. No big deal, only sounds like Hell. Hope this can solve your problem. Vincent Kuo

I do see in this new APC, a 120 second shutdown delay, but have not attemped to program for that yet. I should also hope that the disppearance of the OB status should result in cancelling any ups shutdown delays in progress. That I han't tested for either. Comments/suggestions? documenting s4 methods in package
Hi, I have written a package that contains many s4 generic functions and associated methods. I am having a lot of trouble getting R to build the help pages for these generic functions without reporting, "missing link(s): ~~fun~~, which means that it cannot find the appropriate function when code in the example section of the help is run. Right? After some playing around I can get it to
