Barplot: Vertical bars with long labels
Dear List,
I need a barplot with vertical bars. Each bar should have a label.
The problem is, that the labels are too long, so they overlap, or
only every seccond label is displayed in the output.
Here is a little syntax:
dd <- c(100,110,90,105,95)
barplot(dd,names.arg=c('Conduct Disorders','Attention Deficit',
'Eating Disorders',
'Substance Abuse','Developmental Disorders'))
My question is, if there is a chance to force a line break in each label.
The result shoud look like this:
Bar1 Bar2...

Plot, lines and disordered x and y
Hello,
I have 2d data where x coordinate is not given in usual ascending
order (x1,...,x1+l; l>0), and instead in another, regular, but not
ascending or descending order (for illustration:
x1,-x1,x1+dx1,-x1-dx1,....).y is an array which corresponds to the way
x is ordered. I have noticed that giving 'plot(x,y,type='l') produces
a plot where the points are connected in a completely

Network meta-analysis help
Greetings. I hope my message finds you well.
I know this question may be silly for some experts like you but it's a very important matter for me so, sorry for that.
I was trying to make a network meta-analysis using R for the attached data set which shows the association between breast feeding and autism spectrum disorder (the event here is bad).
I've searched a lot through the internet

Asterisk's MultiProcessor Ability
We have asterisk running on a quad processor dell. The kernel has been
compiled with SMP.
However, asterisk seems to only use 1 processor. 3 of the 4 always stay at
100% idle.
Is it pointless to have a multi-proc machine? I was going to buy a new dual
3.6Ghz Xeon server but if nothing will take advantage of the other proc...
Perhaps my conception of multi-proc/threaded is warped. If asterisk is

The undef story
Peter,
I strongly suggest that you take a break from this email thread and
careful consider the points Chandler has made about community norms and
expectations before returning to this discussion.
Chandler has been exceedingly patient with explaining why your behaviour
is problematic and made several concrete suggestions as to productive
next steps you should take.

Built-In Transfer Questions
I've read the Wiki on using asterisk's built-in transfer options (#8 and
#6). They work fine but how does one cancle an attended transfer? Example: I
have person on phone, I hit #6 to being att-transfer. I enter Sally's
extension. I let it ring for a few seconds. Sally never picks up but her
voicemail does. How do I hangup her voicemail and resume the previous call?

SVM. How to use categorical attributes?
Hi All,
Here is the case. I want to build classification model (SVM). Some of variables for this model are categorical attributes which represent words (usually 3-10 words - query for search in google). For example:
search_id | query_words |..| result

1 | how,to,grow,tree |..| 4

javascript file structure
hi
as far as i know (i''m new on ror) the file structure of javascript files
are:
app/views/posts/...
public/javascripts/*.js
what i understand as a View is final step of the application, the thing

some cases, are also -part of- the "view" for some situations.
so, i understand that public/javascript

Realizamos lo que viene en la ayuda y es muy interesante, sin embargo cuando
mandamos a leer desde la tabla csv original de los autores
no hace el análisis porque algo falta y no nos percatamos de que es. Adjunto

Network meta-analysis help
Hi Sherief,
First thing is your data set did not make it If it is not too large,
perhaps you could send the output of "dput" in the body of the message
or send a CSV file with the extension changed to ".txt". If the data
set is very large, perhaps you could send a subset as described above.

Subsetting data by date
Hi all,
Firstly I appologise if this question has been answered previously,
however searching of the archives and the internet generally has not
yielded any results.
I am looking in to the effects of summer weather conditions
(temperature, humidity etc), on the incidences of a breathing disorder
brought on through smoking (COPD). I am fairly new to R and completely

you, but it would have been better had you kept that opinion too yourself. There
are plenty of other reasons besides laziness or carelessness that people will
consistently error in language use, such as learning disorders, head injuries,
and/or vertigo.
On the contrary, I am aware of the definition of a periodogram, and I know what
the unnormalized periodogram in the data I presented looks like. Spec.pgram()
is actually normalized too something, because it's discrete integral is not
well above the SS amplitude...
