coxme() random effect syntax
Hello:
I would like to run a Cox proportional hazards regression on crayfish
dislodgement at different water velocities by crayfish size class and
substrate (rock) type. Additionally, there is a covariate variable, rock
movement that may be influencing crayfish dislodgment. So...
I have crayfish size class (CFSZCL) and substrate type (SUBSZ) as fixed
factors influencing the dis...

Some quick mrtg help
...at I just can't get
around. All I want to do is have a nice, simple graph of the traffic on
the box and the gateway in the standard day/week/month/year thing. I've
got the mrtg rpm installed and it's all there.
Could someone just give me a quick kickstart on this? Just something
to dislodge the blockage. I'd be forever in your debt.
Thank you,
Joe

Forte Agent windowing problem
Forte Agent newsreader on Wine 1.0 on Mandriva 2008.1.
If I close Agent and then re-open it, its inner newsreader pane becomes
dislodged as a floating section in a scrollable window. The following
image (size 29k) shows what I mean. The top image is before closing and
the lower image is after re-opening.

This happens if it's fullscreen or in a smaller window. I can...

Alas, I think rc.local has become irrelevant with systemd, which is
most Linux distros is the way forward.

Uninitialized Constant Wx
...to 1.9.1 again, guessing
that maybe it got reset to 1.8, but that didn''t help.
Then I remembered that I ran the WxRuby19 Sample "wxClient.rb" in a
terminal after the first test of my client but before the next test of
my client. Could it be that running the sample script somehow dislodged
my client script from finding the Wx library?
I just checked by placing a puts statement immediately after the
''require ''wx'''' and ''include Wx'' statements and then commented out
''include Wx''. The puts wasn''t shown in...

External harddisk
I have an old external harddisk, Toshiba 320 Gb, with a USB connector that I wanted to check for contents. It did not start up when connected and I could not hear the motor spinning. After leaving it in the freezer overnight the motor spins but it is not recognized by my computer. I disassembled it and could see that the head assembly rests outside the disk but when it is powered on, the head

Readline problem.
This question relates, at least vaguely, to recent postings
from me concerning my attempts to build R-1.5.1 under Solaris 2.7.
I've more or less given up on this, and I and a colleague are
attempting to build R-1.5.1 on another machine in our Department,
and are getting a ***different*** problem.

The Room
...mind: No one must ever see these cards! No
| one
| must ever see this room! I have to destroy them!" In insane frenzy I yanked
| the file out. Its size didn't matter now. I had to empty it and burn the

| Leaning my forehead against the wall, I let out a long, self-pitying sigh.
