Cisco IP Phone- disjoin conference
Hi all, Does anyone know if it's possible to continue talking to one member of an initiated conference call on Cisco 79xx ? In other words- disconnect one of the parties. Thanks. Renaming a computer on a Samba domain
We shift computers around a lot, and therefore need to rename several whenever we get new batches of systems in. Tried simply renaming a system while on the domain, but got an "access denied" error. I WAS able to disjoin the domain, remove the LDAP entry for the computer, log in as a local administrator, rename the computer, and rejoin the domain a different computer name. However, this is a HUGE pain. The number of reboots alone is a genuine time-killer. Doing it one several systems can waste an entire day. Do...

Win2k clients won't rejoin Samba PDC domain, "Remote Procedure Call Failed"?
...with and without the add machine script, both without it completely and with manually adding the UNIX user, I've really tried everything I can think of and then some, but I can't get it to join. This applies to ALL win2k machines (I've only got one XP one available, which I daren't disjoin the domain with incase it never goes back on because everyone uses it), I've tried several win2k machines which have never been on the network (fresh installs of 2k, even they won't touch it. The only thing (may be irrelevant, but my understanding of SMB and Samba is pretty limited), the s...

PDC SAMBA + WIN2K problem join domain.
Hi, I had success to join a samba domain with a win2K Station a few days ago. But today when a try to log with an another account, my station win2K say me she can't contact my PDC. I does not know what occurred since the last time. I disjoin my domain and after i has try to join again but with no success. The client Win2K and serveur PDC samba are on same network and switch thus no problem of network. The samba server starts and his logs says to me that is the PDC of my domain, but Win2K does no want to see it. somebody has an idea ?

Daily changetrustpw breaks authentication
...Squid. I don't think it's Squid related, as wbinfo -t (ie not Squid) returns: [$]# wbinfo -t checking the trust secret via RPC calls failed error code was NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED (0xc0000022) Could not check secret I had another AD environment where changetrustpw never resulted in this disjoin. I don't see any smoking guns that point to any differences in the environments that might account for this. I've searched around looking for possible causes, but I haven't seen any solid clues as to how to fix this. -- Jim Moser DiamondGate Networks http://www.diamondgate.net/ [0...

[LLVMdev] YA Vectorization Benchmark
...nt we are unable to vectorize any of the loops in this benchmark. I found two main problems: 1. We do not allow reductions on floating point types. We should allow them when unsafe-math is used. 2. All of the arrays are located in a struct. At the moment we don't detect that these arrays are disjoin, and this prevents vectorization. We should be able to vectorize many loops in this benchmark with relatively minor changes. WINBIND on a VERY LARGE FOREST
...5 second (i setup winbind cache = 5 second) to see the change witn wbinfo -r. Now the problem. If i search group to a children domain, winbind show me correclty. If i add or remove a group, winbind show does not show me the change for many hours! I tried to restart samba and winbind, but nothing. I disjoined and rejoined but nothing. Tracing the connections, i see that winbind contact global catalog and domain for whom the query is, but i think there is a strange cache tha does not permit me to see the changes with winbind. Seamless update from Samba 2 to Samba 3 on a new server
...ard time trying to update and to move my Samba 2.2 PDC to a new Debian server. Currently, the PDC is using Samba 2.2.8 on a Solaris Server. My goal is to move it to another computer, and to update it to a newer version (3.0.24) This must be fully transparent for the users, since I have no time to disjoin and to rejoin the domain on all machines. I'm using the smbpassword backend, and a NIS server. The NIS stores all the Unix accounts, but the machine accounts are local. The domain name is SMBDOM. The PDC is called aldebaran, and has the Netbios name PDC. I've caught SID of the old machine,...

...ount of work involved in getting the Zentyal domain upgraded will > be far more than setting up a new domain. > > Rowland There are other factors outside of the domain migration to take into consideration as well. If I rebuild the domain I have to physically go there because to remotely disjoin/rejoin the windows stations, although it can be done, it would be better to be onsite if issues arise. Next, they have a windows server running some complicated software that is joined to this domain so not keen on disjoining/rejoining that server as I don't know what havoc it would create wit...

Trying to 'Upgrade' to Samba 3.0 on RedHat Enterprise 3.0
...grade path to RHEL3.0 from anything other than RHEL2.x). What this means is that I have to reinstall Samba and configure it. I will be using Samba 3.0.0-14.3E (a Redhat rpm). I would like this to be seamless to the end users, i.e. if at all possible I don't want to have to go to each PC and disjoin the old Domain and join the new one (they will be named the same thing). I will be using the same physical server, but in effect it will be a new server, new OS, new version of Samba. I would like to 'migrate' the old accounts (user and machine) to the new server. Is this possible????...

cannot login from some machines after upgrading from 2 to 3
...sue here. Some time ago (in march ;) I upgraded my FreeBSD-6.0 Samba 2.2 to 3.0 (currently 3.0.24). After creating groupmaps and doing all the other upgrade tasks, everything seemed to be alright. However, it was not possible to login from some machines (getting error for the wrong password). After disjoining and rejoining domain with these machines, it was possible again. Does anybody know, what could be the problem? There are still some such machines left. One of these is a Windows 2000. When I try to login to domain from there, I see the according log-lines ending with: ===== [2007/06/21 11:40:2...

Should I be able to change the default domain and add an AD Domain's idmap after initial configuration or should I "disjoin" the domain and rejoin with the updated configuration? I included a summary of my idmap change approach in the previous email in case the detail is required and have not disjoined the domain in that approach. For my next test I used an earlier snapshot of my configuration in Unraid 6.9.2 and...
