ActiveRecordCache
I believe I heard some talk of an ActiveRecordCache being developed while I was on IRC... however, can''t find the actual project. Anybody know if this is being developed, or where I can find more information on it ? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... (I'm not sure whether pbuilder is actually required, but I didn't feel like installing the Build-Depends for r-base in the root filesystem.) > Just to confirm, you are building on m68k, correct? 8000 security risk?
Yes I meant HTTPS over HTTP, which yes, I’m differentiating by those port numbers. Thanks for clarifying! We have been streaming HTTP for a long time, but I am at a university and there is a lot of emphasis on security. I was never really sure what the certificate did for us in this case…but was attempting to comply! Over the years we have had a small handful of IPs trying to maliciously access

8000 security risk?

But if there are streaming > aggregators out there who can’t use the HTTPS over the HTTP, then it > may be better to deal with the inconvenience once in a while. I'm sorry, but as an information security professional I MUST disillusion you on this. Adding HTTPS does absolutely ZERO for the security of your Icecast server, *especially* in terms of "IPs trying to maliciously access" it. This ties into the "threat model" I mentioned. (The only exception would be legitimate source client connections from the I...

[Bridge] Flushing MAC-tables(?)
Dear list-members! I am using OpenWRT (www.openwrt.org) on two accesspoints. Within OpenWRT, the wireless interface and the ethernet interface are bridged to one interface (br0). Those two accesspoints are standing quite far from one another. Their WLAN-cells do not cross each other, meaning I have an area in between the two accesspoints, where there is no accesspoint of the two accessible: a
