upgrade problems...
Hi all,
I have done a major upgrade, first I have bought a Digium TDM400P (TDM02B)
2-Port FXO to replace x100p cards, than moved from an old version Asterisk
to a new centos 4 box, compiled asterisk from Asterisk CVS-HEAD built on
2005-06-11.
Seems that my iaxy is now "incompatible" with the TDM400P.
When I receive a call from the TDM02B, the caller can't hear my voice (I

G.729 licensing -- an opinion
Seeing that many people here hit problems with activating their G.729
licenses, I decided to post my opinion.
I have purchased two G.729 licenses, for my private use. I did this even
though VoiceAge makes G.729 free for private use, as Windows
libraries. I guess a sufficiently motivated person could take the COFF
libraries, run them through objcopy on cygwin (producing ELF .o files)
and link them

Legacy option for key length?

We'd be better removing arrogance from essential development teams,
people who think that replacing a world full of expensive and
functioning equipment is an option.? It's not, and nor should it be.?
That's a disgraceful suggestion and you should be ashamed of yourself.
Browser developers got it badly wrong; let's not join them. The
suggestion was good because there's a wide-spread need for shorter keys
and the suggested solution doesn't allow shorter keys unless explicitly
set per invocation.

FOSDEM16: Graphics DevRoom: call for speakers.
Hi,
At FOSDEM on sunday 31st of january 2016, there will be another graphics
DevRoom. URL: https://fosdem.org/2016/
At first, I wanted to skip another year (like in 2011), as speaker
turn-out was disgracefully low last year. But when i heard from some
usual speaker suspects earlier this month (the first time anyone asked
me about a FOSDEM16 devroom btw), followed by the fact that the devroom
request deadline was sheduled a month later than the last few years, i
did end up filing, but this time for...

/etc/ssl/certs/dovecot.pem erased by OpenSuse's update mechanism
Why not /etc/dovecot/private? That's where I put my dovecot certs. Dovecot's needs are a bit different from other software, and so it is unclear whether the files won't be unique to it. For example, I haven't seen the following before I read it on the Dovecot wiki:
"The CA file should contain the certificate(s) followed by the matching CRL(s). Note that the CRLs are required

Legacy option for key length?
All,
I occasionally manage some APC PDU devices. I manage them via a VPN,
which enforces super-heavy crypto, and their access is restricted to only
jumphosts and the VPN. Basically, the only time you need to log into
these is when you go to reboot something that's down.
Their web UI with SSL doesn't work with modern browsers.
Their CPU is...tiny, and their SSHd implementation

Current echo status?
I've been following the list for months, and I have a working Asterisk
setup, but it'd be *really* useful to me at this point if someone could
summarize when Asterisk has echo problems and when it doesn't. For
instance, I usually hear a far-end echo when talking on my 7940, but
not when using a POTS phone plugged into a TDM400 FXO port. It doesn't
seem to matter if the call

...ryone" enveloping the heart of Creation--this rock.
This is how it's "for everyone" and this is how you're the way we get
there--actually taking the time and consideration to see you need to "work"
to change the world. Start by seeing that this place is a disgusting
disgraceful eyesore today, and I would do anything at all to ensure that it
does not continue to be that; anything, at all. It hasn't "just become
Hell" but I've just found out about this message, and about what it says
about simulated reality, and about you--it shows me you are blind slaves...

That's a significantly better thing than implied by the movie, but it's a
good introduction to the reason for Creation, and why we are here trying to
help an entire civilization transition from ?simulated reality? to
Heaven. The New Testament is our guide, and seeing it's
