I need to make some comment on WineTools
...to
test. I think this would be an excellent compromise here. This way the
development of winetools and wine will go in the right direction to a
final working system.
Furthermore.... IE is a necessary part of windows now. Functionality for
it needs to be in wine. Its not something that can be disgarded or
ignored. Allot of applications use IEs DLL's and functionality these
days. So its intrinsically part of the windows API. You won't get 100%
compatibility without the functionality it offers.

cleaning up a huge list of "hold back" messages to R-SIG-Debian
Hi guys,
after installing some more heavy spam protection,
(in my function as site maintainer)
I've also cleaned up a huge list of messages to R-SIG-Debian
that have been put "on hold" during the last three months.
About 85% of them were spam, (which I've "disgarded"),

I hope that this is more helpful than confusing, even though it
will be both, because some of the messages have been waiting
there for many weeks...

I have been reading the archives for mention of multi-homed Samba, and
Samba over multiple subnets. I have two questions:
1) It is true that the nmbd daemon will only allow one IP address per
subnet to be added to the local interface list? So if I had a Linux
machine with two NIC cards connecting to the same HUB, using the same
subnet, only one of these interfaces will be

External SATA drive enclosures + ZFS?
...is starting to get a bit tight here, so I''m looking at adding
a couple of TB to my home server. I''m considering external USB or
FireWire attached drive enclosures. Cost is a real issue, but I also
want the data to be managed by ZFS--so enclosures without a JBOD option
have been disgarded (i.e., I don''t want to use any internal HW RAID
controllers).
One product that seems to fit the bill is the StarTech.com S352U2RER,
an external dual SATA disk enclosure with USB and eSATA connectivity
(I''d be using the USB port). Here''s a link to the specific product
