Samba 2.0.7 configure-script disfunction.
If I do this on a Solaris 8, x86: tar xzf samba-2.0.7.tar.gz cd samba-2.0.7 mkdir OBJ/somedir cd OBJ/somedir ../../configure --prefix=/usr/someplace and then: make it doesn't mkdir "bin" for me, making it compile all the way until it is about to link bin/smbd. The linker gives me a message about not being able to find "bin/smbd" which is kind of misleading. 8-( Anyway,

Error: evaluation nested too deeply when doing heatmap with binary distfunction
...r: evaluation nested too deeply: infinite recursion / options(expressions=)? However, if I used default parameters for distfunction: heatmap(X, hclustfun=function(m),hclust(m,method="average")) there is no error messages at all. But the problem is that I have to use binary method in my disfunction. How can I resolve the problem? Thanks a lot!

Minimum version for asterisk and iaxmodem
Hi, I'm trying to use iaxmodem against a very old version of asterisk (1.0.7 - its a debian sarge embedded system), yet when asterisk gets a call from iaxmodem, it says that the "format for the call is unknown". Does anyone know if there is a minimum version of asterisk that is compatible with iaxmodem 1.1.0? Thanks. -- James

smb client support in midnight commander
...on another terminal. Of particular difficulty is: since i cant send cli_chkpath when idle to keep connection alive, NT server times out & closes in 15-20min. So I have to catch the EPIPE myself to know when i need to close & reconnect. cli_reestablish_connect() in libsmb/clientgen.c is disfunctional. I seem to have it reconnecting fine in this situation. Additional functionality that should be added to midnight commander to better support smb filesystem is to support the comments field in server & share listings. Also, the servers are currently shown as directories. There should be...

[PATCH 4/4] drm/nouveau/acpi: fix lockup with PCIe runtime PM
...(linked in the above issue), but that could be a configuration issue that disabled Optimus in BIOS (unconfirmed). If it matters, both of these laptops have a MXMX method (Select Display Data Channel), but their MXMI (Return Specification Support Level) and MXMS (Return MXM Structure) functions are disfunctional. There is also a MXDS function on both ACPI handles, but these are not hooked to the WMI interface for some reason. No idea of Acer has hacked up some drivers to work with this, outside these models I do not know others that are also affected by this issue. > > The previous detection metho...
