Perhaps, if that is the only requirement to have a fully-functional streamer. Unfortunately, I believe this is not sufficient for the user base. So, if the

...hing that they call CentOS. But this something is in reality only based on CentOS and it has been modified by the people making it available." Suggestion 1: Change "Genuine" to "Modified" (contexed accordingly) Suggestion 2: Rework the tone of this wiki article to be less disdainful. My personal view is that phrases like "We are not mind readers", "we cannot provide you with support" are not friendly and would put some people off from asking for help again. (A similar view to overly widespread use of irc bot triggers) Suggestion 3: Make it clearer that som...

small issue with over-zealous clean.
Noticed a problem for a while - tests/testit.Rd, tests/ver20.Rd are removed on "make clean" unintentionally. This seems to come from a change in tests/Makefile.in, which adds the line: - at rm -f *.tar.gz *.Rd back in May 2012. ----------- commit c4d70254e7b7f9d7ed17faecfb3097195d852ddc Author: ripley <ripley at 00db46b3-68df-0310-9c12-caf00c1e9a41> Date: Sun May 27 09:04:41

Oh is Gecko == Mozilla? Oh well, can''t keep them straight. As far as I''m concerned there are only 2 browsers worth developing for, IE6 and FF > 1.07. Yea.. Stupid browser makers. Wish we could pull them all into the town square for a good flogging. -----Original Message----- From: rails-spinoffs-bounces-1W37MKcQCpIf0INCOvqR/iCwEArCW2h5@public.gmane.org

chisq.test probabilities method unclear
Hi list, i've got a question about the chisq.test function. in the use of the "given probabilities" method (p= ...), normally there should be typed in probabilities in the range of 0 to 1 with the absolute sum of 1.0 (r-help) But it is possible to use probabilities > than 1. or the sum <1.! without any warning message Ok, now the question, what does r calcutate in these

Is there any difference between <- and =
Dear R-helpers: I have a question related to <- and =. I saw very experienced R programmers use = rather than <- quite consistently. However, I heard from others that do not use = but always stick to <- when assigning valuese. I personally like = because I was using Matabl, But, would like to receive expert opinion to avoid potential trouble. Many thanks in advance. -Sean

PATCH: Samba/Win2K renaming bug
Hi there. I'm running Samba 2.2.3a on RedHat 7.1 + kernel 2.4.17. My girlfriend's laptop is running Windows 2000 + service pack 2. She has about a thousand MP3s stored on a Samba share on my RedHat machine. We were finding that she couldn't rename any MP3s on the Samba share: she would always get a sharing violation. After a day of reading Samba logs at debug 10 (_such_ fun [ ;)

Minimum budget question ...
I've tried to figure out from the web site the minimum hardware cost to run a small office Asterix solution but I'm afraid I miss something: Let's say that I want to connect four/five analogic extension to the PBX. I have: - 1 computer as the server (with linux and Asterisk on it) - 1 dummy patch panel to connect all the analogic phones around the office What (and how many) cards
