amount of data R can handle in a single file
Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to know what is the maximum number of observations a
single file must have when using R. I am asking this because am trying
to do research on banking transactions and i have around 49million
records. Can R handle this? Advise with regard to this.

Error Loading r
Hi there,
This is the first time I have encountered such an error. Error loading
r. I did forward the call to our desktop services, but I am just a bit
curious on what the actual problem could be and how I could have
resolved myself. OS is unix version 4.
Not sure of the version of R... As its my first encounter.
Kind regards

file monitoring in samba
Does anyone know how can I monitor files that was being open and access in
the samba directory? If this was not possible, is there third party apps
that can help me do what I want?

It appears people are reading this document as a requirements list for
building hardware. This is not the intent of this document. Nor is it
particularly suited for this

[PATCH nbdkit UNFINISHED] Add the ability to write plugins in golang.
Similar to C, OCaml and Rust, this is not a plugin per se. Instead
it's more of a method and set of tests around writing plugins in
golang. They are standalone programs that compile into shared objects
that nbdkit can then load (so there is no "go plugin" between nbdkit
and the user plugin, unlike in scripting languages like Perl).

Mailing list question
Hi,
Is the any kind of 'tag' that I can include at the end of my message to
make the list processing software ignore and dispose of my disclaimer?
In other words - something like <disclaimer> at the end of my message
would inform the list software to remove any lines after it.
My massive disclaimer is added by the server you see - and it's now
annoying me - let alone the rest
