Name Resolving bug in Open SSH 3.0.2
...nected to the Internet at this time - this causes a delay of 10 seconds before connecting to a neighbor machine... that's bad. REMOVING dns from /etc/nsswitch.conf solves this problem, however... /etc/nsswitch is there to tell which mechanism to go to first... What do you say? Samba as a DC
...simply adding everyone to the domain admins group, does that involves adding the corresponding unix users to the root group? I would really hate to do that... Resolving error
OpenSSH gurus: Apologies if this has been covered already (or is a genuine FAQ). I've searched both Google and MARC extensively on this issue, and have come up empty. I use OpenSSH 3.0.2p1 (openssl-0.9.6c) on a group of Linux (Slackware 8.0, kernel 2.4.13, glibc 2.2.3) machines that have this in /etc/hosts: 10.1.1.2 s1 s1.[domain].com ... 10.1.1.6 s5 s5.[domain].com This is in

...is irrelevant as it works fine for me as well (as I said, when I am connecting one by one - everything works fine, but when I am opening approx 10 ssh connections while 10 scp are killing the system/cpu it does happen).
