Name Resolving bug in Open SSH 3.0.2
...nected to the Internet at this time - this causes a delay
of 10 seconds before connecting to a neighbor machine... that's bad.
REMOVING dns from /etc/nsswitch.conf solves this problem, however...
/etc/nsswitch is there to tell which mechanism to go to first...
What do you say?

Samba as a DC
...simply adding everyone to the domain admins
group, does that involves adding the corresponding unix users to the root
group? I would really hate to do that...
Some details on the environment...

could not be the end server that stalls me.

Resolving error
OpenSSH gurus:
Apologies if this has been covered already (or is a genuine FAQ). I've
searched both Google and MARC extensively on this issue, and have come up
empty.
I use OpenSSH 3.0.2p1 (openssl-0.9.6c) on a group of Linux (Slackware 8.0,
kernel 2.4.13, glibc 2.2.3) machines that have this in /etc/hosts:
10.1.1.2 s1 s1.[domain].com
...
10.1.1.6 s5 s5.[domain].com
This is in

Detailed information.
...is irrelevant as it works fine for me as
well (as I said, when I am connecting one by one - everything works fine,
but when I am opening approx 10 ssh connections while 10 scp are killing
the system/cpu it does happen).
Please tell me what you think...
Thank you very very much!
