Compiz window manager?
...t;compiz --replace", I got a segfault. This was using the version from the CentOS yum repositories, and logged in to the GNOME desktop. My graphics driver is the proprietary one from NVIDIA. I tried adding Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True" Option "DisableGLXRootClipping" "True" to xorg.conf as this was suggested somewhere on the net, but it didn't make any difference. Any ideas what's wrong? - Toralf This e-mail, any attachments and response string may contain proprietary information, which are confidential and may be legally privilege...

AIGLX Support with nVidia 9625 Drivers
Hello, I'm on a Gentoo machine with the latest beta nVidia 9625 Drivers, trying to get Compiz to work with AIGLX... simply running 'compiz', or even with the addition of any options other than version, causes compiz to detect that it is indeed not XGL, and then segmentation faults... please note that I have only currently tried this with Compiz-Quinnstorm (the latest package available

COW and unredirect_fullscreen_windows
I'm using Compiz 0.3.2 on Gentoo with the Nvidia 9626 beta drivers. First off, I would like to state that Compiz is very, very nice. The effects are very tasteful and enhance the desktop experience instead of being distracting. Compiz itself works great, the animations are smooth and it's very nice that it now uses the Metacity themes. The only reason I'm not using Compiz full time

system-config-display wrongly sets up Viewsonic VG730m monitor
I originally set up this monitor with an analogue lead. Everything seemed fine, so I didn't check xorg.conf at all. Then I bought a digital lead, and since then the monitor blinks. Running system-config-display identifies it as a 1280 x 1084 CRT monitor. It is an LCD monitor. That model is not on the drop-down list, so assuming that a specific driver wasn't available for it, I
