Just a stupid question: If I want to exclude all directories in different locations named for example "binary" but not files with name "binary", which exclude command I have to use? --exclude *binary* ...I thougt that this is the right one...but unfortunately it excludes also files which contains the "binary" name!? kind regards martin

I am also experiencing the same problems. I am running 3.6 on AIX 6.1. I do have a 3.5.8 installation running without problem (I understand some major changes have happened.) Hi, I got a Samba box that is part of an Active Directory. It is working with the most basic functions, but I want to start customizing the security a little bit more. For that I want to grant access to different shares by group using "valid users = @AD+group" in the smb.conf, but hasn't worked. I increased the verbosity of the log files and this has caught my attention:

Hello! I know this must be an old topic, but I can't quite find an answer in the archive or the Howto. I would like to know if it's possible to show the user quota instead of the disk size when users open their home directoy as a share. Hi all, I try to compile my package kml and I get the message Warning in read_symbols_from_dll(so,rarch): this requires 'objdump.exe' to be on the PATH I check 'Writing R Extensions' but I did not find any reference to this error. ...to go higher. My problem is adding a second user to be able to access the directory via ftp. In other words, user1 has a partner named user1a. I tried adding user1a in user1 group and not in user1 group...netiher worked. I tried adding user1a with no home directory and tried making their home directoy /home/user1 In all cases, ftp says 'cannot move to /home/user1' when trying to access with user1a. I am to the point it is time to forgo the security of chroot in vsftp to just add a second user. Any help appreciated.

(BTW: In R 2.8.1 one could open the script by selecting the File->"open script" menu and afterwards one had to select File->"change directory" and it would instantly suggest the directory of the R script. Now (with R 2.9.1) it shows the Documents directoy after selecting File->"change directory", again. This is very annoying as I need to click through all my folders twice.
