smbfs patch - listing large direcories from an OS/2 server
Hi!
Here's a patch that allows Linux smbfs to list large directories (i.e. > 100
items) when talking to an OS/2 server. There is a misunderstanding about the
flags sent in the FINDFIRST request which causes the OS/2 server to indicate an
EOS (end of search) in the FINDFIRST response, even when there are more items
to be listed. The result is that smbfs will display only the first ~120

/c_shadow>rm windows AnApp
/c_shadow>cp -R /c_/{windows,AnApp} .

Files have 555 and they are deletable or is it a bug ?
...user1 and it's group is usergroup1.
Now user2 from usergroup2, who can correctly read but not edit test.txt,
can delete this file. I think the reason for this is the
/daten/rechner/comp1 directory, which is set to 777.
Is there any option that permits a not owner to delete files set to
0755, in direcorys set to 0777?
Here's al listing of my smb.conf:

socket options = TCP_NODELAY
os level = 2
security = USER

Confusion berween file and direcory
I have some trouble with a samba 3.5.8 server when setting directory
attributes. On a windows XP I execute a small peace of code that calls
'SetFileAttributes' for the directory 'test-dir' located on the samba
server. Using log level 10 I find this:
[2011/05/26 15:27:02.144060, 3] smbd/process.c:1298
(switch_message)
switch message SMBtrans2 (pid 28903) conn 0x7f5e35f0dbb0

Restricted SFTP
As I have mentioned earlier on this list, I want to allow (relitivly)
untrusted local users to SFTP to my server, as a secure method of remote
file access.
What I would like to do is to keep users within their home directory. I
don't mind that it follows symlinks (if fact its probably a
requirement), but some basic restriction on what users can see/access
would be handy.
The check I

and if so please help!!!

BTW. you should check direcory with oh323 a there should be asterisk-driver
directory and there you find sample config.
Then you sghould load module in modules.conf.

ssh->rsync->newbie
...r to my
backup server (through ssh). rsync is working fine, except that it
doesn't seem to authenticate my rsync user which is not a system
user. If I run the command manually, sshd asks for the far end
user's password. If I use that user's password, the files are
rsynced to a direcory inside the user's home directory, (i.e.:
/root/www/).
Do I need to write a shell script that allows for sshd authentication
and rsyncd authenication? Does anyone have an example script that
uses the same procedure?
here are my config files and command:

In dovecot.conf mail_location = maildir:~/ is set. This works with
the system-users defined in the passwd file.
I think the query-string f?r MySQL would overwrite this mail_location,
right? But how do I...

SSL / TLS
I am running Postfix and Dovecot on my mail server. I am required now
to have SSL/TLS on my mail server. I did check and found out that I
have a SSL certificate with Verisign issued to my mail servers FQDN.
Now my question is when reading the Dovecot Wiki, I noticed it said
that it is not common to use SSL but rather TLS on most mail servers.
Even though SSL will work, which should I use on my
