Creating 3D Gaussian Plot
Hello,
I requested help a couple of weeks ago creating a dipole field in R but
receieved no responses. Eventually I opted to create a 3d sinusoidal plot
and concatenate this with its inverse as a means for a "next best"
situation. It seems that this isn't sufficient for my needs and I'm really
after creating a continuous 3d gaussian mesh with...

It is insightful, yet... There are a bunch of other factors that may need
to be taken into account. Angular transmission pattern of satellite (horn?
or is it yagi? antenna) vs ground based (monopole? or dipole? antenna -
which one is used there to transmit in HF?). Ground effect (attenuation)
along the whole path or propagation for ground based HF vs ground effect
only at the receiption point, but much higher for much higher frequencies
of GPS; pre-amplifier Signal to Noise ratio (S/N; which can technica...

Small inexpensive SBC for Speex? How about the TIC5505
Hi David,
If cost is an issue then, yes you can do all that (the speex at least) with
the eZDSP USB stick. Only limitation is a slow emulator that is integrated
with USB, and so there is no JTAG output to use with other emulators. If you
don't have an emulator anyway then this is an advantage.
Cheers, M

Should ICMP port unreachable generate a BYE request?
Hi all,
I'm researching random call drops on our Asterisk and would like to
make sure whether it's something wrong with our VoIP provider or with
the Asterisk. I sniffed traffic between Asterisk and our VoIP
provider's SIP gateway, and observed that in the middle of the
conversation an RTP stream originating from Asterisk gets an ICMP port
unreachable from provider's SIP gateway

WWVB uses a two-element phased array, where each element is a 400-ft
top-loaded vertical monopole. The ERP is listed as 70kW, so the antenna
gain is already applied to the transmitted signal's specification and
thus doesn't ne...

OggPCM2: channel map
...e info about THX? I've searched the web and found

I used to have, but I may have misplaced the specs. The main idea is
that in THX, the surround channel is supposed to be spatially diffuse.
It is not recreated with directional sources at the back, but by
utilizing dipole speakers, room reflections, multiple sources or even
explicit allpass decorrelators. But I'm not quite sure what the overall
spatial distribution of the surround field is supposed to be. Hopefully
I can find something concrete on it.

Sampo,
I did flesh out the wiki a **little** more. Is the intent clearer now?

PortaOne's RADIUS client and Appradius
Hi all,
I'm trying to get Asterisk do AAA against a Cisco VSA compatible
RADIUS server/billing platform. I decided to give a try to appradius
(since it was written in C and didn't require all the modifications to
Asterisk that PortaOne's client does) played with it the whole day,
after lots of modifications got it working only to find out that it'll
need a lot more work to
