Hi, I need a simple tool for benchmarking my NT client against my Ubuntu Samba server. I get 20MB/s during a file copy but I think my limit is the client's hard disk. Dose anyone know a simple exe tool which simulate file I/O agains the Samba server. I like to avoid using my lokal disk during the test. Have looked around but can't find a simpe tool which dose the job without the need of

Not working with intel macs (PR#8608)
Full_Name: Dina Rego Version: R Cocoa GUI 1.14 OS: Intel Mac 10.4.4 Submission from: (NULL) (24.199.98.228) I recently bought the new intel imac and every program I had on my old computer (shareware and all) works on my new computer except R. When you double click it, it seems like it's going to launch (it does that box rushing to the screen thing) but nothing happens. I need this program

From R to LaTeX to pdf?
Hi all, Anyone experienced in the LaTeX format? I'm trying to use the xtable package to create nice anova tables, but how do I do to produce a pdf from the resulting LaTeX table? I've tried WinShell and MiKTeX, but I couldn't get any of them working... Here's an example of the output in R: % latex table generated in R 2.9.2 by xtable 1.5-6 package % Tue Nov 24

Editors which have strong/solid support for SWeave?
Greetings! I have a few colleagues who like the idea of Sweave, but have failed to become enlightened monks of the One True Editor (http://www.dina.dk/~abraham/religion/) Are there any other Microsoft-centric editors or IDEs which have solid support for writing SWeave documents (dual R / LaTeX enhancements similar to ESS's support)? Has anyone tried the folding editors which support Noweb?

Density function for non-central t distribution
Hi, I've written some C code for density evaluation of the non-central t distribution. It works with the R-1.7.1 source code if placed in the src/nmath directory and after appropriate changes are made to Makefiles, to the dt function in src/library/base/R/distn.R etc. I haven't read a lot of R source code so it may need some R-ification, but I've tried to use the dt.c file as a

Gluster 11.0 upgrade
Hi Xavi, Copy the same info file worked well and the gluster 11 arbiter is now up and running and all the nodes are communication the way they should. Just another note on something I discovered on my virt machines. All the three nodes has been upgarded to 11.0 and are working. If I run: gluster volume get all cluster.op-version I get: Option Value ------

Upgrade to 4.1.1 geo-replication does not work
Hi Kotresh, Yes, all nodes have the same version 4.1.1 both master and slave. All glusterd are crashing on the master side. Will send logs tonight. Gluster 11.0 upgrade
Hi again Xavi, I did some more testing on my virt machines with same setup: Number of Bricks: 1 x (2 + 1) = 3 If I do it the same way, I upgrade the arbiter first, I get the same behavior that the bricks do not start and the other nodes does not "see" the upgraded node. If I upgrade one of the other nodes (non arbiter) and restart glusterd on both the arbiter and the other the arbiter

State of the gluster project
Hi all, I just have a general thought about the gluster project. I have got the feeling that things has slowed down in the gluster project. I have had a look at github and to me the project seems to slow down, for gluster version 11 there has been no minor releases, we are still on 11.0 and I have not found any references to 11.1. There is a milestone called 12 but it seems to be stale. I have hit

mailing list headers
For some reason all headers for mails coming from this list are coming from @Xiph.org, not @xiph.org like all the other xiph lists. Any chance this small discrepancy with all the other xiph lists can be fixed for aesthetic and procmail reasons ? :) (This mail is just as much a test for seeing if my changed procmail catches this, btw) Thanks Thomas Dave/Dina : future TV today ! -

Rsync from Windows to Linux
I have installed rsync on my Windows and Linux PCs. I would like to use it to copy a folder from Windows to Linux on a regular basis as part of my backup regime. It works but always prompts me for a password. Is there any way to make Windows pass authentication automatically so that I can batch this process? How to calculate the row wise means for grouped columns in matrix?
Hi all, I want to calculate the row wise mean of groups of columns in a matrix M. All columns belonging to the same group have the same column name. My idea is to create a new vector V containing these column names, but after first removing the duplicates. Then I would calculate the means using for instance rowMean() and by comparing the column names of M with the vector V, getting the indices

another starcraft
Hello everyone! I downloaded CodeWeavers wine the other week and had it up and running in the instant of a sec. So, I mounted my Cd and installed StarCraft with no problems (except all this jibbrisch about missing fonts). Happy as a newborn daddy I started it up, and noticed that since I couldn't fill in a userid for playing, I couldn't play. it turned out that all my keyboard pressing

Replace faulty host
Hi Markus, It looks quite well documented, but please use?https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_gluster_storage/3.5/html/administration_guide/sect-replacing_hosts?as 3.5?is the latest version for RHGS. If the OS disks are failing, I would have tried?moving the data disks to the new machine and transferring the gluster files in /etc and /var/lib to the new node. Any reason to reuse

State of the gluster project
Hi Diego, I have had a look at BeeGFS and is seems more similar to ceph then to gluster. It requires extra management nodes similar to ceph, right? Second of all there are no snapshots in BeeGFS, as I understand it. I know ceph has snapshots so for us this seems a better alternative. What is your experience of ceph? I am sorry to hear about your problems with gluster, from my experience we had

patches for xiph build setup
Hi, I offered some time ago to do some build cleanup. Today I did so and here's my slew of patches. Basically, they - touch ogg, vorbis, vorbis-tools and theora - fix a bunch of autotools issues - uniformize the use of them across the four - fix compile/link flags - use pkgconfig if it's available to detect flags - for vorbis-tools, generate and use config.h - add -uninstalled .pc stuff
