HTB / ingress diffrence
Hi I have outgoing speed 128kbit and 5 users. So I want to cat outgoing traffic to 50kbit per user. The best Idea is make HTB queue 10kbit ceil 50kbit but one user (the Donkey one :) ) who using P2P take all the outgoing band. When I make HTB is trafic was very low Donkey doesn''t get any data or take only a little, outgoing traffic was about 1-2K, but In HTB trafic I have full outgoing

ZAP TDM and DTMF issue
...axdtmf in zapata , or any where else to tune dtmf detection on TDM400 fxo boards. in one of our sites provider is giving us 4 analog lines out of Adtran router and Asterisk often recognize DTMF wrong. Obviously playing with relaxdtmf was not helpfull. What do we know anout 1.2 and 1.4 DTMF handling diffrences? At this time i'm using 1.2 but i can change to 1.4 if i see a motivation. _________________________________________________________________ Local listings, incredible imagery, and driving directions - all in one place! meta-analysis in R
I would like to combine time-series data to test for correlations and interactions using random and fixed effects meta-analysis. So, I am looking for the right packages and documentation. I know about meta and rmeta packages of R. Are there any more? What are the diffrences in brief? Can you please suggest some references that could be used as a guide for meta-analysis in R (or S-plus)? Thank you! [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Why Clang is unpacking my StructType Function arguments
Hi: We are currently building an internal solution based on LLVM/Clang technologies which involves generating LLVM IR based on Bitcode generated by Clang from C codes. We have a C function which prototype looks like the following: typedef struct { int (*allocFunction)(void* x, void* y); void* YY; } Type4; int bar (Type1 *x, Type2 *y, Type3 *z, Type4 bar) When we compile this code

vorbis+flac compression
It seems, that oggenc-ing audiofile, and then flac-ing diffrences between original file and vorbis compressed file gives a little better compression than simply flac-ing. I've tested it on one file only: file.wav 55829468 bytes flac -8 file.wav file.flac 37924329 bytes (0.6793 of original) oggenc file.wav file.ogg 4784799 bytes oggdec -o ogg.wav fi...

Slow performance with Win95 client
Hi I am new to this list, but I have been having problems with samba for some time now. Here is the problem When my Win95 clients access the samba server I get real slow transfers, even if I only have one client accessing the server. It transfers at like 70k/s to 150k/s, and the collision lights on the hub start going crazy. even for 10 megabit networking, this is rather slow. (it takes like 3

Diffrerence in "%in%" function to boundry setting via <>
Hi, There is a point which is irritating me currently quite a bit and that is an aspect of different behaviour between the %in% function and the smaller/bigger than signs (<>). Here is are two examples to demonstrate what I mean: Example1: > c(1,1,2,2,3,4,4,6,7) %in% c(1,2,3) [1] TRUE TRUE TRUE TRUE TRUE FALSE FALSE FALSE FALSE Right, that is what I expect. Example2: > ps

Question regarding lmer vs glmmPQL vs glmm.admb model on a negative binomial distributed dependent variable
Hi R-users,   I intend to apply a mixed model on a set of longitudinal data, with a negative binomial distributed dependent variable, and after following the discussions on R help list I saw that more experienced people recommended using lmer (from lme4 pack), glmmPQL (from MASS) or glmm.admb (from glmmADMB pack)     My first problem: yesterday this syntax was ok, now I get this weird message (I

centosplus and contrib rpms
hi, it'd be useul if the centosplus and contrib directory can contain a small readme file or some kind of documentaion about the rpm inside. currently there is not any kind of such docs (ok johnny send a description about the kernel rpms, but if someone missed that email). eg the postfix rpm has the same description and changelog inside the rpm as the original ones. if someone just look into

Hi there Square Enix' new MMORPG is nearing its release and there are alpha/beta clients available. The beta does not work at all in wine, just weird network connection errors when it trys to connect to their servers. The official benchmark starts but 3D is not rendered, just a black screen. Strange msdfs connection problem
Hello, we have a Samba 3.2.8 msdfs root server. From time to time the connection from a Windows 2003 SP2 system will fail with the message that the server name could not be found. On Windows XP it seems to work. On Windows we open the folder user1/folder/subfolder with the explorer. In the failure log I can't see anything about the subfolder. If I compare the samba log (debug level 10)
