howto: plot location, web search
Hi,
new to the list, R and rpy. my first post.
using rpy, i find this
r.X11(height=3, width=6)
allows me to preset the size of a subsequent
r.plot(x, y)
but i've been unable to find documention on related aspects, such as
programatic control of the plot window location on the monitor, or
programatic resizing of a plot once it is generated. Are these
possible?

help with a survplot
Dear useRs,
I was asked to produce a survival curve like this:
http://www.palug.net/Members/jabba/immaginetta.png/view
with the cardinality of the riskset at the bottom.
I do not like doing it, because it doesn't add any valuable information
and because it doesn't discriminate between died and censored.
Nevertheless, is there someone able to tell me how to do it? Currently

[LLVMdev] bytecode reader assertion failure
I have a compiler transform that I have been working on that produces
bytecode that passes the verifier. However, when I try to read that
bytecode back in, I get the assertion failure below.
llvm::BytecodeReader::ParseConstantPoolValue(unsigned int):
Assertion `(!isa<Constant>(Result) ||
!cast<Constant>(Result)->isNullValue()) || !hasImplicitNull(TypeID) &&

[LLVMdev] bytecode reader assertion failure
I am still diagnosing the cause of the assertion failure and will submit
a bug when I better understand the problem.

Linux/Windows Domain Controller
Hello Together,
we are updating at the moment our old 2012 DCs to 2022 DCs. For a test
scenario we were tempted to finally try for dc03 and dc04 a linux
machine as DC. But at the point we tried to join the machine as a dc we
go prompted by the ugly message:
DsAddEntry failed with status WERR_ACCESS_DENIED info (8567,
'WERR_DS_INCOMPATIBLE_VERSION')
We investigated what might be the

validated_associated -- how do I assign invalid collection?
Hi -- if I have a class that declares ''validates_associated'' on a number
of other classes, is it supposed to be relatively easy to replace a
collection of them?
Not to overwrite them in the DB, but simply to assign them to their
retrieval method, so that they can be included as part of the owning
class'' validation.
I mean like:

Advanced Menu features
Hi All,
I hope to find some time to work on the Advanced menu system. I
personally no longer have a need for it (changed jobs). Since I dont
want to spend time doing stuff which will not be useful, I would to
know what features you would like.
What I have in my list are
* Eliminate the need to compile each menu into its own .c32 file
* Eliminate #define constants in menu.h which impose various

The traffic on r-help could be reduced by creating a second list where
more elementary questions are asked.
There may be other ways to partition the universe of questions

Problem with "additional" submenus

First off, thanks for the great work.
I have recently added "more submenus" to a functioning advanced menu
that only had one "submenu off of the main menu before" The addition of
the new submenus has caused the main menu to not function correctly and
I have been pouring over the code for several weeks and I just cannot
see the error that I have introduced. This

How to Backup and Restore MBR within Logical Volumes?
Hi All,
I have several Xen virtual machines within logical volumes using LVM2. I did
not use disk images for performance reasons.
Conventionally, if I want to clone my virtual machines, I have to dd the LV
to an image file. But this consumes a lot of time and harddisk space.
So, instead of doing that, I want to use losetup and kpartx with my logical
volumes, which contain operating systems of
