Only then I discovered that VMware server has a memory limitation to 3600MB (I guess because it's not a 64bit application). I see exactly the same crash with a non-tainted kernel. Re-enable grub boot in UEFI (Windows took over it)
Hello there, Dell XPS-15-9560 laptop (SSD drive, UEFI, secure boot off).. Windows 10 pre-installed, CentOS7 installed in a separate partition and running for months w/o issue. Don't know what happened but at reboot yesterday (not even booted in Windows, just rebooted), grub has disappeared, booted in Windows by default, which apparently has taken over the UEFI boot. Hey. Is ist possible to guarantee CPU Performance to virtual machines? E.g.: I have a 4 CPU host machine. 3 guests are running. Each has 2 CPU. When VM1 needs more resscources than the other 2, can i guarantee that VM1 gets the most Power of the system at this time? R (statistics package) on CentOS-5 ?
Dear all, the statistics package R (www.r-project.org) was available for CentOS-4, but I need it for CentOS-5 (64bit). RPMforge has R-2.5.1 for CentOS-4, so I thought I'd try to install that on CentOS-5. However, yum complains about missing ggv, and the specfile indeed says that R requires ggv, which is not in CentOS-5 (it has kghostview). I could probably install with "rpm -Uvh
