Cisco 7960 quick dial
Is there a way to make the Cisco 7960 SIP phone dial out automatically without having to press the dial button, once the numbers that you have entered match a specific pattern? This feature is present when the phone is working with a Cisco CallManager. For example, if all of my internal extensions begin with a '5' and are four digits long, if I dialed '5123' on the phone, the

I've dug through the documentation, and I must have just glanced over this, but how do I set this system up so it executes the call when 4 digits have been entered. Currently it seems to be operating on a timeout system. Cisco 7940's Right now if I press the digits 6000 the phone waits like 8 seconds before going forward. (If I press dial it is immediate). Registering Cisco 7942G IP phone with Asterisk!.
Hi, ? We are new to IP phone firmware upgradation (Sorry if it is a re-post of previous question(s)). ? Recently we have bought a cisco 7942G IP phone. It currently has SIP 42.9-0-2SR1S firmware loaded on it. We do not see any option to configure a SIP Proxy where we can provide SIP Server (Asterisk PC/Device)? IP address (with current firmware on it) to register it with Asterisk. ? Do we need to

Unprovisioned 7961
Hi Everyone, I am having some issues getting my 7961 working with Trixbox. I have loaded the SIP code (8-3-3SR2) fine but when the phone boots up it goes into an unprovisioned state. A status message shows up and says ?Error Verifying Config Info?. I have read quite a bit on this topic (getting 7961?s to work with Asterisk and TB) and only came across a few postings where other people

Caller ID info ZAP --> SIP??
Hi everyone, I've been toying with * for quite some time now. I've got two Cisco 7940's with the SIP firmware playing nice with *. I can also make outbound calls via IAXTel (toll-free calls only) and all other calls I have routed out my X100P-clone adapter. Here's my question... Is there a way to capture the inbound callerid from my phone line (coming in on the X100P) and have

Cisco 7960
Anyone know if it is possible to load your own XML scripts on to the phone, bypassing the Cisco CallManager? I am still waiting for my phone to arrive, but I have been playing with Cisco's phone services emulator, and that doesn't seem to like anything I pass to it. If it is possible, anyone want to share any sample scripts they have. --Mike
