Can anyone shed some light on "rules" that might make the task of parsing the country code and city codes from a dialed number in the CDRs? I know that there is almost never a case where a concatenated country and city code could overlap with another country code, but what about city codes and local numbers? Is it possible for a concatenated city code and local number to match another

...g a call on their Snom SIP phone (using the Transfer button). Instead of sending them to, say, 1940; they mistype and enter 194 or 190 or somesuch. This ends up on the PSTN (for which three digit calls are valid); not what anyone wanted. On our old PBX (Network Alchemy Argent Office) there was a dialcode that grabbed back the last call that went through your extension - very useful when you realised what you'd done. Hello, I use asterisk to to IAX2 trunking between London POP & Reunion Island pop. I would like to know if it's possible to do a kind of call-limit (i.e. restrict to XX) channels but on a per dialcode and / or destination basis. For example: [trunk] ; reunion proper, i want to send no more than 24 channels exten => _0262XXXXXX,1,Dial(IAX2/mytrunk/${EXTEN}) ; reunion mobile, i want to send no more than 12 channels exten => _0692XXXXXX,1,Dial(IAX2/mytrunk/${EXTEN}) exten => _0693XXXX...

I'm thinking of doing an app to work with the CID that's gotten from the Zap channel. All the CID's I see from within the US are 10 digit numbers. I'm out in the rural areas of the US, and no-one ever calls me from overseas. If they did, what would the CID look like? What does the CallerID look like overseas? How many countries provide it? murf

Heres a weird one... Call comes in on mISDN channel. Little bit of dialcode (in a macro) looks up the number in the astdb and puts an name to it. No real magic there, and it works well. Same macro also has parameter passed in to put a prefix on the name - this is set in the DDI handling and is dependent on the number called and allows phone users to see which number...
