Glusterfs mounts on clients with few bricks missing
Hi,
We are facing a weird scenario where on the clients the glusterfs
volume mounts successfully but the size on the client is less than
the total volume size. A few bricks are missing and hence the size as seen
on the client is incorrect and we face issues of missing files. This
happens randomly and we are unable to reproduce it. The gluster volume
status shows all bricks up and running.
We are

I noticed when I run gluster volume heal data info, the follow message
shows up in the log, along with other stuff:

I'm seeing it on Gluster 4.0.1 and 3.13.2.
Here's the full log after running heal info:

Glusterfs mounts on clients with few bricks missing
Hey Shreyansh,
is this eventually happening if one node is going down/gluster service
restart while the client has the volume mounted?
I think I am experiencing something similar for my VM disks, when I
restart a node/glusterd. I only can fix it by re-mounting the client.
I believe the change of brick-ports of the newley restarted
node/service is not being populated to the client, but all other

I remember we have fixed 2 issues where such kind of error messages were coming and also we were seeing issues on mount.
In one of the case the problem was in dht. Unfortunately, I don't remember the BZ's for those issues.
As glusterfs 3.10.1 is an old version, I would request you to please upgrade it to latest one. I am sure this
would have fix .

Adding Ashish .
Hi Amudhan,
Can you check the gfids for every dir in that heirarchy? Maybe one of the
parent dirs has a gfid mismatch.

Nithya

Replicated Volume Crashed
Hi,
I have a gluster volume that consists of 22Bricks and includes a single
folder with 3.6 Million files. Yesterday the volume crashed and turned out
to be completely unresposible and I was forced to perform a hard reboot on
all gluster servers because they were not able to execute a reboot command
issued by the shell because they were that heavy overloaded. Each gluster
server has 12 CPU cores
