Samba 4.0.3 on CentOS 6.3 as PDC.
Any help here? I have included all of the output of the suggested diags that Thomas said I should run, but I admit that I'm not sure what I'm looking for, as I'm not familiar with RPC functionality on Linux. Something is not working with RPC on my Samba 4.0.3 server. (FWIW, it doesn't work with IPTables stopped either.) > On Mon, Feb 25, 2013 at 2:21 PM, Mike Stroven wrote:

ShieldsUp scan
Hi, I''m a home user who doesn''t understand the workings of the Shorewall firewall (or the linux OS on which I''ve just installed it) very well. Having just installed Shorewall 1.4.6c with a default "home user" configuration I gave it a run against the online ShieldsUp scan. Main surprise was that the ICMP echo was enabled. NMBD Not Starting
I moved an entire RH 6.2 server from one CPU to a new one using a tape backup/restore. Everything from the old server is working on the new server, but when SysV starts up smb, the nmbd daemon (2.0.6) exits with an error: create_subnets: No local interfaces! eth0 has already started according to the logs and console. Any ideas? Thanks. ______________________ Greg Kelley, IT Director SSA, EAA,

Speed/lockup problems with wireless client
Hi, I have samba running on a home LAN using a Linksys mixed wired (100 Mbit ethernet) & wireless access point, which also does NAT to a DSL modem. The server is connected to this access point via an ethernet cable. Clients can connect via wireless or wired network connection. I am using encrypted passwords, and have in smb.conf: socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_RCVBUF=4096
