G729 Licensing Revisited - I'm Sorry!
Hello Everyone, We are looking to transition our 23 channels from testing/lab into production. During testing we used the free open source g729 license using the instructions found here: http://blog.manhag.org/2010/05/installing-the-free-g729-codec-for-asterisk/ A little more about our setup. All recordings have been converted to G729, all voicemail messages are also in G729, finally

is it possible to use R to edit an EXCEL spreadsheet so I can create a searchable EXCEL database of R packages?
I have copied the R FAQ pertaining to available packages into an EXCEL file. Example of cell means model
This is an example from chapter 11 of the 6th edition of Devore's engineering statistics text. It happens to be a balanced data set in two factors but the calculations will also work for unbalanced data. I create a factor called 'cell' from the text representation of the Variety level and the Density level using '/' as the separator charac...

sortables and onClick events firing
I have a page that I have been tasked with adding sortable support to, and the div elements that are being dragged have a <a href> in them with an onClick handler that opens a new window with a preview. Is there a way to keep that onCLick from firing when a sortable is dropped? Sam D _______________________________________________ Rails-spinoffs mailing list

so-called snprintf() in db-1.85.4
Hi, There is a severe problem with the db-1.85.4 library''s Linux port that can be found on sunsite.unc.edu under /pub/Linux/libs/db-1.85.4-src.tar.gz (sp?): This library contains a "snprintf" function which breaks down to a common sprintf, ignoring the size parameter. Obviously, this was thought to be a terribly bad work-around for C libraries which don''t contain an

nls newbie: help approximating Weibull distribution
Hi folks, I tried to retain the Weibull distribution using the `nls' function and proceeding along the lines of the example provided in the `SSweibull' help (at least I thought so): t <- (1:200)/100 v <- pweibull(t, shape=3, scale=1) df <- data.frame(Time=t, Value=v) Asym <- 1.0; Drop <- 1.0; lrc <- 0; pwr <- 1 df.estimate <- nls(Value ~ SSweibull(Time,

I have just joined this list (and just started using R), so please excuse any etiquette breaches as I do not yet have a feel for how the list operates. I am in the process of teaching myself statistics using R as my utility as my ultimate goals cannot be satisfied by Excel or any of the plug-ins I could afford. I am currently looking at chap12 page 552 of Weiss's Introductory Statistics

Stat textbook recommendations?
Hello, I'm looking for a textbook that can explain some of the math behind the intro-to-intermediate stuff like ANOVA, multiple regression, non- parametric tests, etc. A little background: I took an intro stats course last year and would like to further my education. Being as that was the highest (and only) stats class the local community college offers, it looks like I'm on

Problem with FreeDOS + himem64 + PXELINUX + memdisk
(FreeDOS developers, I apologize for the redundant parts of this message. But I want to bring the SYSLINUX folks into the discussion, and the SourceForge mailing list archives are broken.) Background: I have a little Sourceforge project (http://unattended.sourceforge.net/) for which I use SYSLINUX to provide CD-ROM and PXE boot support for my boot disk. And it works great with MS-DOS. However,

After some testing I tracked it down to calling draggable_element on the list items. If I remove that then everything displays correctly.
