[PATCH 1/7] v2v: check next free oem%d.inf in /Windows/Inf
It seems that checking for oem%d.inf in the DeviceIds registry entry doesn't always list all oemXX.inf files. For example we may have oem1.inf free in the registry key, but used in another one. Also extract this into a separate function for later use to setup another driver. --- v2v/windows_virtio.ml | 52 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++--------------...

New USB ethernet adapter
I got a new USB ethernet adapter from ebay, the ad said RealTek chipset, so I thought I would chance it. Well, my 5.2 system does not recognize the USB device. At all. What do I need to do? I checked the driver CD and the XP driver directory's .inf file has the following: ; ASIX AX88172 USB2 to Fast Ethernet Adapter * ; * ; Copyright 2001-2003,

Questions on Asterisk and CallerID
Hello, I have few questions about Asterisk. I installed Asterisk from CVS on FreeBSD and I made cvsup 2 days ago. 1.I couldn't find Asterisk version using "asterisk -V" command. How can I to find version information? 2.I am using Wildcard X101P (FXO) and Wildcard TDM400P REV E/F (FXS)on it. I tried Asterisk CallerID feature, but unable to get it. I tried callerid signaling V23,

First install No Sound
Hi Gang. I installed CentOS last night and the sound card detection failled to detect the sound card. I have a Asrock K8NF6G-VSTA mother board, with a nVidia NF6100-405 chip set. I have tried various live distro's and I ran Fedora 7 on it for just over 2 weeks and none of them detected the sound card. [PATCH 0/4] v2v: simplify Windows registry patching
The way we patch the Windows registry in order to allow it to boot off a virtio-blk drive was initially conceived by comparing the state with virtio-blk driver properly installed, to that without. However, we don't want to replicate the Windows PnP system; rather we need to apply just enough edits to make the system boot, and then let the Windows PnP manager figure out the rest. This series

[ANNOUNCE] libXi 1.2.99.2
libXi is moving fast, and having tarballs can make it easier on testers. So here it is, the first libXi tarball including XI2. Changelog below includes all changes since the bump from the stable 1.2 branch. Note that libXi is not stable yet in regards to the XI2 API. Build under XP with mingw
Hello, ev'ryone, i'm Elio and i don't know how to contact John Francis Edwards, author of the wave_out.[ch] modules for speex, so i write here. I tried to build speex under my winXPsp2 environment using MSYS-1.0.10 and MinGW-3.4.2 with bad results. Well, not so bad, the build completes successfully and speexenc works fine, encoding well-sounding voices; the problem comes with

Wine recognizes GeForce GTX 560 as GeForce 8300GS
Pretty much all games and steam recognize my graphics card as GeForce 83000GS. I think this causes games to run slowly and even freeze/crash when i try to set graphic details to high. Setting VideoMemorySize from registry to the correct amount doesn't help at all. Also setting VideoPciDeviceID and VideoPciVendorID makes things even worse because then it's detected as Direct3D HAL.
