Problem with CentOS 5.1 / Xen / Migration : domU time
...tpd to synchronize dom0 time. When i start a virtual machine on the first dom0 all seems good, the domU time is like the dom0 time. The problem appears when i migrate the domU to another dom0. After the migration, the time in domU on the new dom0 is totally false (we can have more than one day of desynchronisation) and the time on the domU seems to be blocked (the clock indicates always the same time ). In the xend Logs we can't see any error message with the debug mode. The solution for this moment is to restart the domU in the new dom0 to be synchronized again. We manage a lot of authentications se...

Question on randomization
Hi , I am using OpenSSH4.3p2. One of the fixes in this release says that random seed generation is not necessary for each key generation and initial seed will be served for the re-exec'ed processess. As better random seed will yield better random number generation, how can we achieve true randomization by one time random seed ? Thanks, Ponraj M

Echo Cancellation
Hi All, I have tried using echo cancellation, and I think it doesn't work well, because of how I resample. I take the raw 44100 Hz on my mac and just do a loop averaging every 5.5 samples to 1 sample to get 8018.18 Hz, and feed that to speex in 160 sample buffers. I realize that this introduces some aliasing, and I may try the new speex resampler, but I find it hard to believe that

[fdo] Postmortem: July 17th GitLab outage
...'$disk/mysql/' as the root mountpoint for the MySQL data volume, whereas mounting the raw disk exposes '$disk' as the root mountpoint. The copy didn't correctly preserve the subdirectory, so though we had the Git data accessible, MySQL was seeing an empty database. To avoid any desynchronisation, I destroyed all the resources again, created completely new and empty volumes, created a new GCE VM, and re-did the copy with the correct directory structure. Coming back up, I manually verified that the list of repositories and users was the same as previously, worked through parts of the UI (e.g...
