Steam will not load after update
...lled. Then Steam wouldn't start any more. I tried a new .wine dir. Followed instructions for removing/reinstalling Steam. Nada. So I got patient and awaited some Wine updates. I had wine 1.1.16 at the time and now even with 1.1.18, Steam will still not load. Here is what I get: aaron at destro:~> wine ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Steam/Steam.exe fixme:process:SetProcessShutdownParameters (00000100, 00000000): partial stub. ACL from win2k doesn't work
I'm trying to setup a simple standalone Samba server in a win2k network without domain. I've followed some basic howto on the net, users can see shares and can save, modify and delete files and folders. My big problem is the security tab: i can't add any user because the screen where i can see users list ask me for a password. With an admin user and password (the same that i use

Server dying with perpetual "Connection reset by peer"
I''m at a loss to explain a very strange error I''m getting. This seems to happen on our production system where we have a backgroundrb server sharing a host with a Rails app running on Mongrel. The first one or two, occasionally three, calls to a worker (direct MiddleMan calls from Rails, not scheduled) succeed, but afterwards, the server fails to initialize new workers.

help ith burncd (Input/output error, 6.1-RC, plextor PX-740a)
I have a new system which includes a Plextor PX-740a DVD+-R/RW CD-R/RW drive attached to an Asus A8V-MX motherboard. When I try to use burncd to burn a cd, it writes all of the data, says "fixating CD, please wait.." and then reports burncd: ioctl(CDRIOCFIXATE): Input/output error Oddly enough, the CD seems to be usable. I can successfully burn the same file if I use cdrecord. The

[PATCH] Improve the current FLR logic
Hi, all, The attached patches try to improve the current FLR logic. The idea is: removing the FLR logic from hypervisor and adding the improved logic in Control Panel. The current FLR logic in hypervisor has some issues: 1) Dstate transition is not guaranteed to properly clear the device state; 2) the current code for PCIe FLR is actually buggy: PCI_EXP_DEVSTA_TRPND doesn''t mean the
