Installation woes for rattle (and other packages)
Yesterday I wanted to try rattle on Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty. I had (and still have) it running (though it complains on startup a bit -- I'll look into that later) on a different bootup on the same machine with 8.04 Hardy. I got an error that libglade cannot be found, and various attempts to get glade support failed. I removed and reinstalled R -- same problem. To avoid the issue of local setup

Troubles with ListBox and CheckListBox events
...f an item is actually selected through the event.selection? (or is_selection) call. This is fine and this is what I expect but the wxRuby documentation states that : "CommandEvent#get_selection Integer get_selection() Returns item index for a listbox or choice selection event (not valid for a deselection). CommandEvent#get_string String get_string() Returns item string for a listbox or choice selection event (not valid for a deselection)." => Question : The documentation contradicts the actual behaviour which I find correct. Is the documentation incorrect ? - Troubles 2 & 3 : When I...

Bug: FXTable: programmatic deselection doesn't work as expected.
...or'' blue, and it draw inside a kind of ''stipple'': following points surrounding the inner cell. What happen when I did the previous resolution, well the ''stipple'' is released, but not the blue ''SelBackColor''. So that''s a partial deselection, it should also release the blue color... I''ve tried also: table.connect(SEL_SELECTED) do |sender, selector, data| table.handle(table, SEL(SEL_DESELECTED, FXTable::ID_DESELECT_ALL), data) end neither work.. hope you can response me, thank you guys. -------------- next part ----...

samba fails to start.
After a hiccup or two with Samba not wanting to restart, I opted to look for a pid/lock file and found none. Tried to correct by restarting the server and had no success with samba restarting. There are no errors in smbd.log I did apt-get upgrade. No help I did apt-get remove samba, samba and swat went away. I did note that the XXXX pid was not found during install when samba was to be killed.

Install squeeze 32-bits (it''s not specified on the wiki, but I guess it wont work with 64-bit as the xapi *.deb files are for 32). note: you must leave an unused 1mb partition somewhere when creating your

Need help understanding Rails magic!
Hi, I''ve just been pleasantly surprised, again, by how much Rails does for me, but I am *really* surprised. Surprised as in "how the heck did that happen?" I''d really like to understand this and would appreciate any help. Big picture... the user is presented with a form that allows them to select one or more check boxes to record their allergies. The form uses the
