is this an appropiate use of icecast/libboost?
Hi guys, I'm writing an application that will sniff audio streams going across the network and allow a seperate client application to listen into one of these streams. I was looking into ways to distribute the captured stream media to a client for listening, and icecast came to mind. Icecast, as I understand it, is usually used for streaming a few data sources to MANY clients. As I want

The two mail servers need to communicate with each other via smtp (for sending mail from domains hosted on one to the other) but its giving issues. Specificaly when one server

Speex support?
According to: http://www.speex.org/projects.html in the Player Plugins and Code Examples section, there are some libraries that allow media player, XMMS, etc to play speex. However I'm not sure if the format that they expect is the same format that icecast with Karl's modifications is currently producing. Past that, the dev branch of speex (1.1.6 currently) has a working adaptive

questions on serving up streaming speex
Hi guys, I am working on an application that gathers and stores toll-quality/narrow-band voice data. It will allow clients to request this data and stream it to them on the fly. I'm planning on this data all being stored in the speex format (possibly encapsulated in an Ogg file header). I was wondering what method the members of this list would recommend for streaming the data to
