Upgrade Centos 6 (32 Bits) to Centos 7 (32 Bits)
...p that voluntarily maintains a 32-bit CentOS 7. I installed that on an old Dell Celeron desktop. The performance was so poor, it was unusable. Then, I tried the lubuntu distro, and that has been running smoothly since July. It is also well-maintained, as there are regular updates. Lubuntu is a derivitive of Ubuntu, which is a derivative of Debian. With Debian, the biggest difference is update (if you are using the command- line). Todd Merriman Software Toolz, Inc.

dovecot 1.0 + postfix quota warning
Hello, I need to know how to make a quota warning message from Dovecot or Postfix. I'm using Dovecot 1.0.rc15 and Postfix 2.3.3. I didn't installed the quota-warning patch cause i read that it doesn't work with dovecot filesystem quotas (as i'm using). What else can i use for this? I wanna warn users when they reach ..let's say 90% of their quota by sending an e-mail to their

tolerance limits for nls predicted values
Greetings, I would like to calculate tolerancelimits for a series of predicted values from nonlinear regression models. I've been using the tolerance package but the self-starting functions are not in the derivitive tables. When I spellout the functions and supply starting values I repeatedly get an error message regardless of the starting values I use (see output below). Does anyone have a solution for this problem? > oh_fit2<-nls(MBB ~ SSfpl(AGE, a, b, c, d)) > oh_fit2 Nonlinear regression model...

Error: Widget field13 has zero width and/or height
...days on a base of 246 installed ports. And resulted in a *465 installed ports base*. Ouch! It's only been about 5mos. since my last upgrade. While that may seem to some a fair amount of time. Does it *really* require *doubling* my port install base? Anyway, more to my point; 2) xfontsel and any derivitive since this upgrade now always fails. Examples: An attempt to use xfontsel always fails with the same results. As seen here: ~ 1:07pm Fri, 03 mail# xfontsel & [1] 64410 ~ 1:07pm Fri, 03 mail# Error: Widget field13 has zero width and/or height [1] Exit 1 xfontsel...

Any long-time CentOS users on list using Ubuntu as well?
I've gotten roped into helping a local charity with some computing/infrastructure snafus. It seems their last good Samaritan installed Ubuntu all over the place and is "unavailable" now to clean up the mess. CentOS has made me somewhat lazy because everything just works out of the box for the most part and you've got the occasional "yum update". :) These are

Remote HD boot?
I have been working with SYSLINUX/PXELINUX Mostly v.2.x recently v3.0 &v3.1 to remote-boot IBM PC's off of 1.44Floppy Images with great success. I have searched through several distributions and the SYSLINUX package seems to be by far the easiest to work with.. (thanks) My question would be: Is it possible to boot a diskless client PC with Complete hard disk images? or even better hard

Card loading order...
I am having a problem with a couple servers. They both have a Digium TE110P and a TDM04B card. I have setup the system so the TE110P uses channels 1-31 and the TDM04B 32-35. The problem is that when we reboot the server sometimes the TDM04B is recognized first and the TE110P second so the configuration fails. I do not know why this happens and to solve this I have to do a "service

A Follow up to my fedora question: Favorite Flavor Of Linux?
Than my question is this? Now that I have switchtowerized and migrate enabled my app I can start down a new path if need be on a different OS as the base of the system. We have already tried CentOS and found it to have more issues than those mentioned about fedora and through it away faster than one could shake a stick at. Here are our requirements for a stage/dev box and production:
