FreeBSD as a PDC
Hello all, I was using Samba 2.2.5 on a Linux machine as a PDC and it was working fine. But know I installed FreeBSD 4.7 in this machine and installed Samba 2.2.6pre2. It's still working as a PDC, but I can't add machine trust accounts because FreeBSD doesn't accept $ in its usernames. How should I do now? Thanks in advance.

Smbclient client IP address
...passing that to smbclient but to no avail. It always chooses the default ip on the FreeBSD box. I have a remote samba machine that auths by IP and I need to set a different client ip other than the box's default. Now I meet some problems, I can see samba server name in Network Neighborhood, but when I click the icon, I get this error message after a long delay: Cannot link to Linuxserver(server name). And I used Ethereal to track the packets to find the problem, I found that

traffic normalizer for ipfw?
Hi there, Is there some way to configure ipfw to do traffic normalizing ("scrubbing", as in ipf for OpenBSD)? Is there any tool to do it for FreeBSD firewalling? I've heard that ipf was ported on current, anything else? TIA, /Dorin. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
