cmprsk- another survival-depedent package causes R crash
Dear Prof Gray and everyone,
As our package developers discussed about incompatibility between Design and survival packages, I faced another problem with cmprsk- a survival dependent packacge.
The problem is exactly similar to what happened to the Design package that when I just started running cuminc function, R was suddenly closed.
These incidents suggest that maybe many other survival

How to 5ubscribe with modules
Ok.. munging the tag below to get pas the agressive mailbot
administrivia filter.
I have a manifest the following:
module::foo{"$someVariable": param1=>"x" }
modul::bar{"data":
5ubscribe => [Module::Foo["$someVariable"]]
}
The only way to get past the parsing seems to be to do one of the
following:

Removal of CodeBreakers package
I installed Codebreakers Redhat pakage to my eDesktop 2.4. I downloaded
necessary files for depedency problems. I had tried Caldera's package
without success. Being a newbie I decided to try CodeBreakers. When
running winecheck it came up worse than the previous package. I tried to
uninstall package and my system did not see it as installed. I deleted
Wine.d from my /opt directory

Seemingly simple question - current status?
I have a 3 different puppetmasters running different groups of
machines (dev, testing, and production). I''d like to very simply say
"Give me a brief summary of the status of the nodes you manage."
I''ve been having nightmare dependency problems trying to get things
like Dashboard running that seem to be able to do this (Ruby, which
may be an elegant language, is very

Contour plots
I am drawing several contour plots in one page. I use "image", and get
several contours. But I don't know how to control the color in more than one
plots. For example, same color corresponds to different dependent values
in different plots. For example, "yellow" means z=100(the highest value)
in plot1, but "yellow" means z=40(the highest value) in plot2--this is

Wilcoxon test for mixed design (between-within subjects)
Hallo,
is there any extension of the pairwise Wilcoxon test to a dependent
samples layout with replicates (or, in other terms, a one-way layout
with blocking and replicates)?
The Wilcoxon method with matched pairs works for the case of dependent
samples with one observation per block, while the Mann-Whitney test
works for independent samples, thus one single block and replicated
observations. Is

mongrel_cluster: selective restarts
Hi list,
I have tried to reach Bradley (author of mongrel_cluster) by mail, but
have not gotten a response. So I''ll try trough this channel:
I have ''developed''[1] a small extension to mongrel_cluster that allows
selective restart of any one listener in a configuration that contains
more than one listener by using a command like

[LLVMdev] Re: dependence analyzer for machine code?
I was searching for the code could be factored out for a dependency
analyzer. The one written by Tanya for SparcV9.
The machine code dependency is necessary for some architecture which
the (efficient) instruction scheduling could not be possible without
the register allocation is done first. For example, the VLIW machines
(most DSP's are). For an efficient instruction scheduling, the

plotCI error when trying to omit upper or lower bars (PR#7764)
Full_Name: Volker Franz
Version: 2.0.1 (2004-11-15)
OS: Mac OSX / Debian
Submission from: (NULL) (84.58.8.232)
Hi there,
the new version of plotCI (Version: 2.0.3 of gplots) produces errors
if the upper or lower error bars should be omitted by passing NULL as
an argument. Older versions of plotCI had no problem with this. Here
is an example:
library(gplots)
means <- c(1,2,3,4,5)

Greetings, first remarks about trying to do customizable drop-shadows
Hello there everybody!
Terrific... a mailing-list for compiz with David on board! Ok, I
started off with writing some functions using cairo to draw me the
needed elements for drop-shadows (atm stand-alone to focus on the proper
generation of the shadow-parts) and currently still fiddle with the
tweakable parameters. Right now I have...
shadow-radius (e.g. 20 pixels)
2D-offset vector (e.g. 10

Hey Rui,
glad that I can help out.
I was going to use lld in the following scenario:
I'm writing a programming language and started with unit-tests that
build ASTs for small test cases.
I then want to generate

'breackpoints' (package 'strucchange'): 2 blocking error messages when using for multiple regression model testing
Good morning to all,
I am encountering a blocking issue when using the function 'breackpoints'
from package 'strucchange'.
*Context:*
I use a data frame, 248 observations of 5 variables, no NA.
I compute a linear model, as y~x1+...+x4
x4 is a dummy variable (0 or 1).
I want to check this model for structural changes.
*Process & issues:*
*First, I used function Fstats.* It

OpenSSH question, please!! :)
.... This is the source RPM for RedHat's openssh
packages. If you're on RH8.0 you'll want to do an 'rpmbuild --rebuild
openssh-3.5p1-6.src.rpm'. This will make the 5 packages you need in
/usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386. You can then install them from there and
should resolve your depedences.
On a side note, while I use many RedHat servers in a production release,
I would not consider 8.0 "production ready" just yet. They're working
out a lot of bugs that'll be fixed in 8.1.
If you continue to have problems, please e-mail me back but please make
sure to CC opens...
