move mail from server with v1.0 to server w. v2.1?
.... Both servers are on my internal network.
The old one ist running debian lenny(32bit) with dovecot 1.0.15 and the
new one debian Wheezy with dovecot 2.1.7.
I set up the users on both systems identically (same gid uid).
My first attempt was tho simply rsync the Maildirs along with the homes.
Both deovecot versions are set up with the maildir format, but this
results in ~30% doublicated mails on the new server.
I then learned about doveadm/dsync, only to figure out that this isn't
available in v 1.0.15 and therefor won't work.
So which could be the most painless way to solve that?

Configuration advice needed.
...vers use an NFS share on a NetApp for mail,
Postfix servers are writting directly to inbox maildirs.
Load balanced is maintaining afinity betwen client and server so i've
got no problem with this for the moment.
Now, i want to setup postfix (3 HW load balanced) for local delivery
with LMTP on deovecot servers, and here come my questions.
Afinity can't be maintained between IMAP and LMTP for a user with my
load balancer so mail can be delivered on dovecot01 and read on
dovecot02, from what i've read this can be an issue with indexes.
I think i need to setup a director to maintain LMTP a...

Depending on what you mean by "access", this could be as easy as
require "fileinto";
fileinto "destfolder";

limiting the per-time connections from one single IP address
...address in one minute to three (3).
i checked to see in the dovecot-wiki, but found only the
#login_max_processes_count = 128
#login_max_connections = 256
which both do not contain neither a per-time constraint nor a
per-IP-address constraint.
is this already possible with current versions of deovecot?
