unknown dimensions for loglm
...10.28058 11 0.5053391 However, the number and the names of the dimensions change for each dataset. What I want is to be able to run the following line at the end of the code: "loglm(~., data=ctables)", but it always prints the following error: Error in terms.formula(formula <- denumerate(formula)) : '.' in formula and no 'data' argument Can anyone help me out? [R] possible bug in loglm (PR#122)
Bug report: there is a problem with loglm (or some underlying code) when used with updating within a function. For example, this code works as expected, when used outside a function: ------------------------------------------------- library(MASS)

nlrob(...) returns error message
Dear all, ? I implemented a non-linear model using nls(...) and it works just fine. I now tried to run the same model using nlrob(...) which basically does the same but uses a more robust estimation procedure. My problem: I cannot seem to get nlrob(...) running. Irrespective of how I try to call the function, I always get the error message "Error in is.null(x) : 'x' is missing".

Fixed point encoder for vorbis
Hi. I was wondering if there is any work on a fixed point encoder for vorbis? If not, does anyone want to help with something? The purpose would be to make an icecast server on a low cost Linux platform, like Blackfin/uClinux, which doesn't have a floating point unit, but does have plenty of fixed point mips. Thanks -Robin

fitting the null loglinear model with MASS::loglm??
...m() allows the 'convenience' of using integers rather than names to specify terms in the model, e.g., 1+2+3, so there is no way AFAICS to specify an intercept-only model. That is, below, the model ~1 is actually the saturated model for the one-way table. > loglm(~NULL, t1) Error in denumerate.formula(formula) : node stack overflow > loglm(~0, t1) Error in double(nmar) : vector size cannot be NA/NaN > loglm(~1, t1) Call: loglm(formula = ~1, data = t1) Statistics: X^2 df P(> X^2) Likelihood Ratio 0 0 1 Pearson 0 0 1 > -- Mic...

A/V sync in Theora
Hi, I've been thinking about how a Theora encoder could be integrated into mencoder or transcode and I'm not sure whether I understand the A/V sync strategy of Theora/Vorbis correctly. When transcoding from some video format (ie MPEG2 or DivX), at least some images of the video stream will have time stamps, as well as the fragments of the audio stream. Or at least time stamps can be
