Need help: Impossible to demote/remove a Secondary Windows DC from my Samba 4 AD DC domain
.... Then, I started to think about this situation... I come to the conclusion: hey, I can just shutdown W2k8 (pdwad-1), then go to "ubuntu-ad-1" to try to remove a "crashed" DC, it did not worked either, now, I'm facing the following BUG: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Demote_a_Samba_DC#Demote_a_DC_that_isn.27t_accessable_any_more https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10595 So, in the end of the day, I'm stucked, it is impossible to remove/demote a W2k8 from a Samba4 AD DC domain... Any tips?! Thanks! Thiago

New/changed Wiki documentation

Here they are: Complete re-writes (please proofread): * https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setup_a_Samba_AD_Member_Server I also replaced some outdated pages about the same topic from the Wiki with a forwarder to this HowTo. *

Or, would it be better to treat dc3 as though it were non-functional, and remove it from dc service via another way - e.g. the script mentioned here<https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Demote_a_Samba_DC#Demote_a_DC_that_isn.27t_accessable_any_more>? Thanks

Secondary domain controller and promotion
I see the instructions about setting up a secondary domain controller at https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Join_a_domain_as_a_DC but I am unclear on several points. Is it the same to
