Deleting AstDB family at start
Is it possible to delete the keys belonging to a family in AstDB at Asterisk startup? I would like to repopulate it from another source each time Asterisk is restarted.
I know there is a DBdeltree(<family>) function. Is there a context that only runs once (automatically) at Asterisk startup (so that I can call this function)?
Also is AstDB lookup faster than a func_odbc lookup? Is there a faster way to perform a lookup in Asterisk; e.g. create a lookup table in memory perhaps?

smbclient, cannot delete non-empty directory, no error message
...;t delete directories that have
files in them, that's pretty remarkable and not in a good way.
Should I file a bug? This problem goes back over a year at the least,
I'm rather surprised no one has run into this until now.

That does work.
Is there a reason for rmdir to exist? It sounds like deltree will
remove either an empty or full directory, which makes rmdir
superfluous/legacy.

Chris,
I would assume you would need to use 'rm -r' to remove a directory
and it's contents. I would also assume a error message would be expected
with 'rmdir' if the dir was not empty. The man page for smbclient also
suggests you may use 'deltree'.

VIP 30 phone
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi,
I'm just learning about VoIP and Asterisk. I've got a developers kit on its
way and I've managed to get hold of a couple of cheap Cisco VIP 30 phones.
I've trawled the web and found a few snippets of information on these phones
but I still can't get them to work. Does anyone have any config files or any
idea on how (if I can)

agi exec problem.
hi folks.
(apologies in advance if this is a particularly stupid question)
just getting my feet wet with asterisk / agi, and am a little stuck using
EXEC. it works fine for applicaitons that take simple arguments, but
chokes on applications that require multiple words as arguments.
for example, this works fine:
EXEC Playback(demo-congrats)
but this doesn't:
EXEC add extension

Problems compiling vorbis.lib in MS Land
Hey all...for whatever reason when opening up the vorbis_vc6 project in Dev
Studio bitwise.c and framing.c are still in the project. From my
understanding these files are only in the ogg library now. If I try to
compile the project as is, it fails because it can't find the files. Simple
solution: Delete the two files.
I just thought I'd give somebody a heads up....
Keep up the great

Blacklist callers from file
Hi. I would like to blacklist a few callers and I have been using the *CLI> database put blacklist 1234 "annoying callers". Instead of putting the same command for every user is there any way to have a file? Ideally a file in /opt that I would update the blacklisted numbers (add, remove). Is there anything like that, please?<br>
