Problem with configure.in in dovecot-stable CVS
I am having trouble with using dovecot-stable from CVS. I get the following error when running autogen.sh: configure.in: 4: required file `./[config.h].in' not found I see the config.h.in file in the root dir, but I cannot figure out what the brackets are for. If I modify the file and remove the brackets, it works properly and I can compile dovecot. What are the brackets in the name for?

GPO not getting updated on Windows 10
Hi, Our Domain controller environment is working for over 6 years without a break. It started with Samba Version 4.6.5 and today running 4.18.5. We have only Windows 10 clients across our organisation. Off late, we have observed that GPOs are not getting updated when we change some GPOs and link them to some specific OUs. For example, previously, we had not allowed one specific network path

Repeating downloads
Hey- Just wanna say that I'm really happy with Dovecot, it has worked really well for my small operation. I do have a couple problems I'd just like to bring to everyone's attention for future bugfixes and if there is a solution available. I'm using dovecot-0.99.10-6 with a clean fedora core 1 install. I'm using primarily IMAP with OpenSSL, however a few people use POP3

Multiple Mailstores using 1.0alpha4
I am using qmail-ldap to provide virtual users to my system, but I also have some shell users on the system as well. Virtual users go into /home/vmail/mailstore/$username/ System users go into /home/$username/Maildir How can I have both of these available as inboxes in dovecot using ldap logins? Do I need to use namespaces or am i missing something with default_mail_env? Thanks, -- Brian T

LDAP schema for mailLocation?
Hi, I would like to try implementing user specific default_mail_env's as described here: http://wiki.dovecot.org/moin.cgi/MailLocation using the LDAP attribute 'mailLocation'. However, I have been unable to find any LDAP schema which contains mailLocation. What schema is this attribute part of? Thanks, Jason Pepas

Re: entered bc_action_emit with filelen:
Hi, I'm still getting the errors below on Debian Etch with Dovecot 1.0.8-4 and Dovecot LDA. Is this something that's fixed in 1.0.9? It doesn't seem to have an effect but I'm wary of messages I don't recognise! Whatever happened to rc8?
It sounded like there was going to be one, so that some of the fixes that didn't make it into rc7 could be easily tested before releasing 1.0? -- Best regards, Charles

dovecot with sendmail
Hello, Here is an issue. I am trying to make dovecot work with sendmail If I use the default conf file (default_mail_env = ) then the inbox is the file /var/mail/user and a mail folder is created in /home/user directory where it stores all additional imap folders. The problem with this is that I can?t have subfolders. If I edit dovecot.conf file and enter default_mail_env =

Serve list archives by dovecot IMAP
Has anyone considered setting up a Dovecot public server to serve the list archives by IMAP? Or does Dovecot not do anonymous read-only access? (I note by comparison that the Cyrusoft Mulberry list archives are served by an IMAP server. <http://www.cyrusoft.com/mulberry/support/anonimap.html>) It should be sufficient to set up Dovecot on some server in the dovecot.org domain and

"Real" users AND Virtual users
Dear all, How can I use dovecot for both "real" users and virtual users? I could configure dovecot for real users, by using these lines in /etc/dovecot.conf: default_mail_env = maildir:%h/Maildir auth default { passdb pam { } userdb passwd { } } To accept virtual users, I used these lines: default_mail_env = maildir:/usr/local/virtual/%u/ auth default { passdb sql {

Dovecot username mapping
Ok, here's my situation. I currently run IMail 7.x with about 80 domains and nearly 4000 users. I want to switch this to a Linux server. I'm using Virtualmin to manage the users/postfix. I have dovecot working just peachy with the setup, except for one problem. We are an ISP. The easiest thing for us (and our users) is to have them use their full email address as their username.

Version numbering
After v1.0 is released, I can finally get back to sane version numbers. But any comments on which one is better: a) Postfix-style: "1.1.UNSTABLE.YYYYMMDD" -> 1.1.0 (stable) b) Odd-even numbering: 1.1.x (unstable) -> 1.2.0 (stable) With a) style the releases could be done by simply copying a nightly snapshot to releases/ directory and announcing the changes since the last
