I'm having some problems with our Samba Add-Printer-Wizard setup and CUPS. Everything is working fine (drivers upload, download, configured) except for one thing. Both my addprinter and deleteprinter scripts are forced to restart Samba in order to successfully complete their respective adding and deleting. Here is the situation. I have setup a samba server to authenticate against Active Directory. I have created a group under my Linux server and created all the accounts that need to access the share and placed them in the Linux group on the samba server. I gave the group full rights to the samba share, but when a user from the group adds to the samba share a file or directory he or she now owns

Okay, I've got some progress now. Have fairly decent printserver working. I've been able to reproduce the same postive and negative results in two physical servers and now (finaly destination) a vmware server. What's working: ADS integration, this is a domain member Printer driver installation (for a few drivers) Printer installation / removal Printing. What's not working:
