But actually, things are going wrong: it does create the 3/ subdirectory, it does populate it with the files in print$/x64, but those files are kept there, not deleted as they should. If I then try to delete it, there's something similar: rpcclient $> deldriverex "HP Universal Printing PS (v5.1)" Driver HP Universal Printing PS (v5.1) and files removed for arch [Windows x64] (version: 3). First, uninstall the offending printer and remove the driver using rpcclient, like this: # rpcclient localhost (give password) rpcclient $> setdriver <printer> <another driver that works> rpcclient $> deldriverex <driver that does not work> then exit rpcclient. After this, install the printer's driver LOCALLY on a windows PC, configure it, and share the printer using the same name that is used on Linux. Hello, how can I delete a printer and it's driver completely out of samba? 1. Removing the entry out of smb.conf and reload samba. 2. Remove the driver over the windows serversettings dialog. But then there is a "printing/printer-name.tdb" left in the lock directory. Can I just delete this file? And how can I remove the corresponding entries out of ntprinters.tdb. And is there
