Debian + Samba 3.0 + Mac OS X 10.[2-3] -> insufficient privileges
...headache to me. There's no option: users want to use
Finder - and they are right - and not Terminal.
Anyone has found a solution to this very embarassing problem?
Maybe 3.0.1rc1 helps? It's a _production_ server. I wouldn't like to
lose more than 100 gigs of data.

PostgreSQL & SELinux problem
Hi.
I just installed Centos 4. I''m pretty sure that I chose to have it
install postgresql but when the system came up, it wasn''t there. No
worries. I installed it from the net with ''yum''. Unfortunately, when I
started it up and it tried to init the database, I got a bunch of
SELinux errors:

Sendmail vs. Postfix
Hah!!! This list is just too calm and mundane. The only thing we argue
about is the ''announce'' list vs. the ''user'' list. ;) So, it''s
springtime! I''m seeing all the regularly scheduled ''oil'' threads on my
motorcycle lists and thought "oh what the heck, lets get the ''oil''
thread going over on the CentOS

updated rpmstrap script
hello,
I just upgraded the rpmstrap script for CentOS 4.2. As I don't have any
x86_64 machines I just upgraded the i386 section. Some of the version
numbers are changed and there were some new package requirements.
The file is attached. Overwrite the original file under
/usr/lib/rpmstrap/scripts and itt will work again.

Several kernel problems
hi all,
I have to configure an Intel desktop motherboard based "server" with 4
disks, using linux software raid (2 raid1 arrays). The type of motherboard
is Intel Desktop Board D925XEBC2 "BlackCanyon". The gigabit ethernet
controller is Marvell Yukon based (Syskonnekt) and stock kernel has
problems using it. It doesn't complain, lspci "sees" it (it's not a

HTB shares equally when borrowing enabled :(
Hi,
I''m fighting seriously with a most simple HTB setup. I''d like to share
the incoming 64kbps into 5 and 59 for two different machines under NAT.
HTB seems to hold the required limits when ceil is not set (no
borrowing), but when borrowing enabled it seems to share equally rather
then keeping the specified ratio.
My setup is below. A typical output of "tc -s -d qdisc
