Genstat into R - Randomisation test
Hello everybody,
I have a question. I would like to get a correlation between
constitutive and induced plant defence which I messured on 30 plant
species. So I have table with Species, Induced defence (ID), and
constitutive defence (CD). Since Induced and constitutive defence are
not independant (so called spurious correlation) I should do a
randomisation test. I have a syntax of my supervisor in Genstat, but...

Error when building doc/html
...options), make ;
>make install.
A quick look at that log shows that it is calling ./configure with
--disable-doc, however in CVS the option seems to be
--disable-doxygen-docs, try changing that in the ebuild file (then if
that works file a bug with the Gentoo ebuild maintainer).

Error when building doc/html
...ut an
empty file in the doc/html/api folder, which should make the install
command succeed. You could put something like 'touch doc/html/api/empty'
in the ebuild if that works.
Otherwise make doxygen a requirement of the ebuild and take out the
--disable-doxygen-docs option.

[PATCH v2] vhost: block speculation of translated descriptors
...alidated, but in fact can be speculated to a value
out of range.
Userspace address are later validated with array_index_nospec so we can
be sure kernel info does not leak through these addresses, but vhost
must also not leak userspace info outside the allowed memory table to
guests.
Following the defence in depth principle, make sure
the address is not validated out of node range.

[PATCH] Memory issue and cast causing failures when adding metadata
...it better
to have the metadata blocks copied upon the set_metadata call (ie, in
src/libFLAC/stream_encoder.c) instead.
Also note that I have only changed the file_decoder, a corresponding
problem seems to exist in the code for
seekable_stream_encoder/stream_encoder as well.

About ParallelR and licensing of packages
Howdy all...
Reading with interest the thread(s) about REvolution, package
licensing and the requirements of the GPL.
First of all, let me introduce myself?. ?I joined REvolution Computing

Digium and mailing lists
..., given the fact that Digium contributes so much to Asterisk,
they shouldn't be forced to risk their company's future by hosting these
mailing lists in such an unstable environment where they could get sued
for any ridiculous reason. Even an unjustified, ambit claim could
generate huge defence costs on Digium's part, and cripple their ability
to contribute to Asterisk.
Therefore, it seems to be in the best interests of Asterisk's `security'
to have the mailing lists hosted by someone other than Digium and maybe
in a country that doesn't prohibit freedom of expression....

OT: closing a port on home router
...ens a functioning connection to the
internet on a service that is inherently susceptible to brute force
and rainbow attacks. The 'dangerous' people on the Internet will find
this port in a heartbeat and they are far more worrisome than the
script-kiddies. Since you absolutely must build a defence against
these opponents anyway then you might as well leave the service on the
default port to avoid screwing up legitimate users expectations.
I grant that dealing with an excessive logfile volume can be a
consideration. However, this issue is often best dealt with through
scripting your own ana...
