Packaging GObject for Fedora (was: [rjones@fedoraproject.org: New upstream version 1.15.19.])

Need help with spec file for Apache-2.4.7
I am trying to build an RPM for Apache-2.4.7-1 on Centos-6.5-i86_64. I am using mock. The are three build dependencies that I am trying to resolve. One, mod_socache_dc / distcache, I have simply removed from the spec file. The other two are arp and apr-utils. Since httpd-2.4.7 needs arp >= 1.4 I got the two latter requirements from http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/httpd-2.4.7-deps.tar.bz2

patches to beta 4 spec files
Hi, Attached are patches for the beta 4 distribution, fixing minor problems in RPM spec files. One question: are there any reasons not to include vorbiscomment in the vorbis-tools binary package? I've added the long-awaited utility program into the revised spec file, but I wonder if it is a wrong change... Regards, -- KAJIYAMA, Tamito <kajiyama@grad.sccs.chukyo-u.ac.jp> diff -ru

Wrong directory permissions in RPMs build on CentOS6
Hi, I have rebuilt all our source RPMs on CentOS 6 and found they sometimes differ in directory permissions compared to those built on CentOS 3, 4 and 5. The problem is that %defattr overrides %attr on directories. Have a look at this example spec file: --%<--------------------------------- Summary: foo Name: mini Version: 0.1 Release: 1%{?dist} Group: System Environment/Daemons License:

Ruby RRDtool bindings and CentOS 5
For whatever reason, the RPMForge package ruby-rrdtool doesn''t play nice on my CentOS 5.1 box with puppetmaster. It installs site_ruby/1.8/i386-linux/RRD.so, which puppetmaster is unable to find (and the suggested test of ruby -rRRDtool -e ''puts :yep'' fails). Using ln to link RRD.so to RRDtool.so works for the command line test, but still fails for puppetmaster. This

Problems with FLAC make
Hi, I have been making an RPM of FLAC to bundle with GStreamer. In order to get it working I had to make some rather hackish solutions in the SPEC file. The flac Makefile does to build into the correct directories while creating an RPM for some reason. I have attached the SPEC file I ended up with if it is of interest. Of course it didn't help me much cause it turned up we had a bug in the

[PATCH: node 0/3] replace ovirt-identify-node with matahari
This patchset removes ovirt-identify-node and ovirt-listen awake. It adds startup script support for the matahari qmf agent, which takes over the responsibility for communicating node hardware capabilities to the ovirt-server. On the server side, host-browser has had its node identification functionality replaced by a new script, host-register, which is what interfaces with the matahari qmf agent

R 3.4.0 RPMS
Dear Tom, I see that RPMS for R 3.4.0 are not successfully built on Fedora, nor on RHEL 7. https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=1230 When I build with mock on Fedora 25 I also get a build failure. R is not able to establish the time zone inside the chroot and this triggers a regression tests which is new in R 3.4.0. Specifically, in file tests/reg-tests-1d.R this test

[PATCH: ovirt-identify-node replacement 0/4] ovirt node patch to replace ovirt-identify-node with matahari qmf agent
The purpose of this patch is to add support for the matahari qmf agent package (http://git.et.redhat.com/?p=matahari.git;a=summary) to the node. The following actions are taken: 1. Deprecate ovirt-identify-node and ovirt-listen-awake by removing them from the autotools scripts, the rpm spec and the node startup scripts. 2. Remove ovirt-listen-awake and ovirt-identify-node completely. 3. Add

patch: contrib/redhat/openssh.spec updates for privsep
Hello! Now that PrivSep stuff works for PAM too, I took the time to update contrib/redhat/openssh.spec to create the sshd user and set up the /var/empty dir when installing the packages. These have been done the Red Hat style, the uid/gif 74 is currently free in RHL. The only minor issues I could think of were: - I'm not sure if /var/empty should be owned by openssh-server package, but

Puppet RPM's
Does anyone know where I can get the latest puppet, 2.7.1 as RPM''s? The spec file that comes with the puppet 2.7.1 source is broken again, and only version 0.25.5 seems to be available via EPEL, which means that the website''s assertion that you can get puppet as an RPM from there is somewhat untrue. [LLVMdev] Fedora Core 5 package
The rpm target was added after 1.8 was released so I guess you're not using CVS version. I also made several changes to the spec file which you might be interested in. The current version is attached. Reid.
