Printing problem with CUPS / Samba
...d, so we
removed it and restarted smbd. The file was recreated and printing
started fine.
Could anyone please point out what was the main problem? We just did a
trial and error process and got through. Any sort of help is welcome.
Thanks in advance.

ldap replication
Hello,
I have two ldapservers with Samba PDC and BDC. I started with the PDC i
use Suse 9.0 with ldap "out of the box" and Samba 3.0.2a. Everything is
working fine with only the PDC running. Now i configured replication. In
my slapd.conf file on the master server i added the following lines
#permission
access to * by dn="cn=repl,dc=felix,dc=local" write
# database definition

...bnets? if it can what are the necessary configuration
options for smb.conf file & what major changes has to be made in windows

if anyone knows the solution for this or if there is anyother way to
achieve this & ready to reply, then that would be of great use.
thanks,

default route
Hi,
Is it possible to use more than one default route? I believe yes.
Any comments on them. If I use more than one, where will the trafficc be
diverted from?
With warm regards,

Logging to stderr
Hi,
I am having a bit of a problem with logging to stderr.
I am trying to run dovecot as sort of "inetd" install using daemontools.
I have daemontools 'services' named dovecot-pop3, dovecot-imap, etc.
The service command line looks like
tcpsvd -c20 -v -l 0 0 110 /usr/lib/dovecot/pop3-login [--ssl]
In dovecot/dovecot.conf, the log_path is set to /dev/stderr.

Small typo
Hi,
There is a small typo in src/lib/network.c line 624

Sorry about the pedantry. BTW, I am getting this error whenever I am
trying to resolve a name from inside dovecot, but I can using the system
tools. I am trying to get the proxying code to

Help regarding getting password policy response
Hello,
I have enabled ldap password policy in my open ldap server and it locks
out the account after several unsuccessful bind attempts. I am able to
get the password policy response which says "Account locked" by
specifying '-e ppolicy' option in my ldapsearch command.
I am looking for a way to get similar response when I use dovecot so
that I can specify my clients that
