Xen dom0 load affecting domUs
Hello folks,
I have a Xen server running on Centos 6.2 with 3.6.6-1.el6xen.x86_64 as the Dom0 kernel, and i have dedicted 2 CPUs and 4G ram for the Dom0.I have close to 4-5 Virtual machines running on the Xen server.
The problem is that for some reason,carrying outany CPU/Disk intensive task on the Dom0 seems to be affecting the DomUs adversly.For ex.i noticed that my Domus become extremly sluggish if i use a '...

Auto-boot single Windows App

Specifically SeaClear II chartplotter.
It will also need to run MapCall II (a chart organiser for SeaClear).
It also needs to support a touchscreen display.
The aim is to get an on-board (fairly low-spec) computer to act as a chartplotter.
So its basically going to be a single-function dedicted PC. I need to get it to boot up into SeaClear on switch-on, should get there very quickly and run it adequately (I don't think performance when running is much of an issue).
Is Linux/Wine going to be the right choice here? Am I going to have any issues with trying to get the touchscreen to wor...

Tinc + OSPF - is it feasible?
Hello,
Please tell me if it's possible to use tinc together with OSPF (instead of
static routes in LAN). By OSPF I mean Quagga's GNU/Linux daemon.
Namely, I have a group of LANs (private 192.168.x.0/24 each).
Each LAN has a GNU/Linux default gateway, 192.168.x.1, that also connects
to the Internet via a public IP address (does NAT and firewall for the LAN
"behind" it).
